I feel your pain. Almost as ridiculous as the Alonso debate, and on a par with Corluka.

Hate to burst the bubble but Luca Toni began scoring goals on a consistant basis when joined Palermo (serie B) and in Serie A for the first time in... 2005, guess the age... 28.

Keith Andrews has played in the Premiership too if you are going to take that argument and has played most of his career at Championship level.

If you think scoring 1 in 4.5 games is a good return for a top flight striker...

Point is that there are lots of late developers in the game and we should not judge against Andrews.

Nicko- I assume the screaming news is Andrews signing and smiling news is Fowler... not!!

I think the possible signing of Andrews shows we mean business this season and is a clear sign of our ambition.

In addition, it will re-affirm to our better players that the future is bright and there is no reason to even contemplate leaving.

Im just wondering what the current situation with benni mcarthy is,Nicko do you expect someone to make a bid for him this week and do you think rovers will accept? Is zigic the only name in the frame or are rovers eyeing other options?Do you expect any incomings this week?

Stop being such a baby.

The players will have no problem with any player coming in, even if not the brightest chaps, footballers are seemingly much more rational than supporters.

Do you think Santa Cruz is goin to hear the news and be seething mad and demand to leave at once. No. He will attending training and give the bloke a chance. You hear that? GIVE THE BLOKE A CHANCE. If he isn't good enough, he wont play, and a more talented/or better performing player will be ahead of him in the pecking order. No skin off anyones teeth.

If Andrews does play, and performs badly yet Ince persists, if the team doesn't get results, he will lose his job. Simple.

For you to suggest it will have any impact on any of our other first team players futures is utterly ridiculous.

You, along with many others have been borderline utterly pathetic all summer with regards to our new manager, and every decision he has made, hasn't made or even thought about making. For all I see, his signings have been pretty astute, the outgoings unavoidable and predicable, and he still has a large, unopened chequebook to play with.

How any 'supporter' can sit and persistantly hound a guy who has never even taken charge of a competetive game is beyond me. Paul Ince has done nothing nor said anything this summer to warrant even a small percentage of the crap which has been posted around here for the past 2-3 months. The only thing that has raised my eyebrow is the Fowler issue, and Ince obviously isn't rushing to give his old pal a deal, as many suggested he would. To me it is looking like he will give him every chance, but so far is struggling to find justification.

People have suggested he is unrational, a novice, out of his depth and incapable of making big decisions. Well from where I'm sat, there is one bloke who has shown himself to be extremely unrational and extremely incaple of making the biggest of decisions. ..

I refer, of course, to the bloke we had before Ince..

ANNAN

Rovers ARE in the frame. they have told his agent that they will look at him some more - today probably. if he was as good as alexanders says, then we miust make a bid.

he also said arsenal want him on trial. that wont happen though. svein mathisen have denied that opportunity more than once.

NO mention of any bid, so i very much doubt there is one.

clubs should start moving very very soon. it was hinted that he has played his last game for Stabæk.....

An excellent post, now bring on Everton!

I am interested to see what Nicko thinks about the latest updates from Norway, things in football change quite quickly so it may have changed, then again it may not have!

Well said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Give Paul Ince a chance. I was talking to him before the game yesterday and he geniunely sounded excited about the season ahead and at least he has time for his fans unlike sparky. Never a smile when you said hi to mark but Paul actually has a conversation with you.

Good luck Paul

That would be the Luca Toni playing in Serie A aged 22?

I give up answering silly questions after this one.

Would that be Luca Toni playing at Bayern Munich aged 31? In theory not such a bad shout - IMO will be available on the cheap next season though as he can't hit a barn door anymore -

slip toe, just mucking around, should not take it so personally!

Always have said that I never liked Ince etc, but will back him as manager of BRFC. Of course give everyone a chance, but just slightly concerned at some of things we have been hearing.

It is has been a tough summer with losing a decent manager and also some of our best players, therefore, there is always going to be a 'come down' effect.

he speak english :) hmm. i dont get it. it works for me, and im on a mac

anyway.

he said the trial went successfully.

they told his agent that they would come and have another look at him. if they are more impressed he think they will make a bid. and it will be a good transfer for him.
