I think the consistent level of unrest on this thread is purely due to the unease with which we are currently feeling in reaction to Nicko's news which hasn't been a barrel full of laughs of late. Personally, I am very grateful to Nicko for providing us with some sort of insight into whats going on behind the scenes. I don't understand why people are arguing over the Annan situation, everybody is entitled to an opinion and at the end of the day somebody will be proved right. Can we not just get back to discussing football matters amicably?

At a wild guess, I'm thinking you're under 25. Are we talking football scouts, or did-dib-dab type ones? Maybe your mate is grey ferret, Akela, whatever. Aren't football scouts usually old dodderers that have been in football for yonks? And he's your mate?

I would suggest 'chief' scout is singular. IF your mate was chief scout, should you not say 'the chief scout'?

Funnily enough, for a position that actually has a guy with a name in the public domain, these type of rumours often never quote it, but the position. Do you call him 'scout' rather than his name?

He must be a corking scout if his sole criteria for picking a player to replace another is to find one with a similar name, much less his skill, playing position etc.

If there's one thing worse than rumours and speculation, it's naff ones.

When did I say that? Please don't put words in my mouth. I am saying that some people on here belive that nicko is correct 100% of the time and base their opinions of Ince and co on that, often slating the guy on a piece of information that nicko has leaked which may or may not be true.

Look at the reaction after the Annan "huff and loan" thing, nearly everyone was slating Ince and I think that is unfair. If he'd have said Ince didn't think he was worth the money or that Start wanted a bidding war I think most people would have supported Rovers but as it is we get barrage of abuse thrown at our manager.

Well, there have have been childish outbursts especially this morning. I agree that these threads are for discussing issues and inevitably everybody has there own point of view but most of the talk this morning has been 'oneupsmanship' which is unneccesary.
