Have to laugh at some of the views and valuations on Pennant in here. He would walk into your side and be one of the top performers.

He's worth 5 million minimum in the current market and you get yourself a bargain at that price.

Worried Citeh fans maybe.

I was going to say the same, we seem to have a massive influx of other teams fans at the moment!

You never know who's watching, maybe we should start some rumours??

In short for any of the below fans watching.....

Newcastle Fans - Another season of mediocracy for you again

Villa Fans - You'll do alright but stay away from our players!

Spuds Fans - You make me sick

Man City Fans - Bwahahaahahahahahahahahahaha

Do you work for Liverpool?

Just a quick update.

ANDREWS - Trained at MK Dons this morning...the crunch may come tomorrow night when he could be Carling Cup-tied by appearing against Norwich...sounds like the price is not agreed yet...certainly not here for a medical.

ANNAN - I understand that D-Day is Wednesday...Wenger won't be able to see him until then...and it is also the day before the Stabaek UEFA Cup tie...the price is £1.5 million up front plus extras...this might come down to whether the kid wants to come to London and be an Arsenal squad man or sit and wait for something else.

ROQUE - Not heard of a bid. Yet.

OTHER TARGETS - No word of a move for the other midfielder...but that might just be me not picking it up. Yet.

Nah don't like them.

By this comment i assume you disagree with my belief that if we sell Roque, Ince is doomed? If this is the case please be clearer, or feel free to post a reply to point out if my 'guess' was wrong.

I mean you have a very depressing outlook on the coming season. Speculating on how badly we’d do without Roque is futile whilst there seems to be no evidence he is on the verge of leaving and then you discuss being relegation candidates and Ince getting the chop. We’re a few days away from kick off and I’d rather think positively because I can tell already that most of people on here WANT Ince to fail just so they can say proved right that’s all.

i do not understand why ince would consider selling roque ?(i dont think he is) with the price that he would be sold for, it would be hard to attact another player of that value, after selling roque.

Well work harder Nicko!

Haha just kidding thanks for the update, good news about Roque, I think it would take a silly offer for Rovers to even consider selling.

Sounds like by Wednesday then we should be a lot clearer about what's happening with Annan and Andrews.

Are they still looking at right midfielders Nicko or is Ince perhaps looking to give Emerton a go there now, no names seem to have been thrown around for a while or perhaps its just slipped down the list as a priority?

Any update on City? Or is it a case of see what happens with the FA and Corluka's transfer to see how Hughes reacts? On that note is that going to be one of those long winded things that the FA takes forever to sort out or will they make a decisions shortly.

Again on that note, I haven't seen much about the Corluka transfer in the press other than stuff on message boards, are there certain 'rules' that stop even the tabloid newspapers printing certain stories to avoid the clubs ever dealing with them again? Most papers just suggest the club is in turmoil but hide the Corluka deal.

Oh come on!

Pennant was hardly a top performer at Birmingham, the fans didn't rate him, similar to Liverpool! They got lucky when Liverpool paid for him. Pennant is on the decline, even Lennon would be a better shout than him. The best shout of all is Sebastian Larsson, a good crosser and a hard worker.

Pennant has the least accurate crossing ratio in the premiership, lacks pace and has the skill of an orange. To top it off his personality is hardly endearing.

Don't say 'Yet'!! Leave it at 'not heard of a bid' - or lie to us, tell us everything will be fine! I can relax for the afternoon, get some work done etc, etc!!!

Cheers Nicko

have liverpool actually said they would sell Pennant for 5 million?, anything above 5 million is to much for him i think. He's a good player and has lot's of pace and skill, but his final ball is awfull most times.

Why is everyone so frightened of a Roque bid anyway? We can't stop other clubs from doing it and if they do there is nothing to suggest we'd sell anyway. Some people are a bit paranoid at the moment that all our players are just waiting for a bid to come in so they can go.

RSC will be playing for us next season so chill out!

Yeah - this sounds like there's more to this than just speculation.

I wouldn't judge him on his time with us, mate. He's been in and out of the side and his already fragile self belief has been shattered. No disrespect to Blackburn, but he needs to make the step down and play reguarly to get the best out of him.
