He is pretty obscure in the run of things.. not many of us would of heard of the chap.. but as the understudy to David Silva on the right... and has a very good reputation and is a young chap...

But yeah he is more dream city rather than someone who would move to Blackburn..

Santi Cazorla Obscure???? Sorry lads you could not be more wrong, he played a key role in Villareal finishing second last year, and now they have offered him to Blackburn, come on. He also said he was in dispute with his club, as far as I know this is not the case with him.

As much as I would like it to be true, I seriously doubt he would want to give up a starting berth at a champions league club who finished above Barca last season for us.

Just like Brad Friedel...?

Who exactly are Aston Villa? I'm sick of all this talk of them taking our best players (are they the new/old Spurs?)... yes Friedel was a rock in our side during his stay here, but lets be honest - he's no prospect, his days are numbered.

Jimmy Bullard

Im pretty certain they do, but why would he want to go there at the moment? Bit of a sideways step. JW and Ince will be desperate to keep him. I can't see him going unless one of the big boys comes in and unsettles him. And even then he looks happy enough to have two thoughts about leaving to sit on someones bench, even if it is the CL.

That said Villa have put together a very decent side. Everton are looking at good targets. Spurs have strenthened very cosiderably - but I wonder if the curse of White Hart Lane will take its toll on the glittering squad like last season. Portsmouth are also looking excellent value in terms of quality signings. Newcastle didn't look up to much, Man City are a mess. It's going to be a very competitive league next year.

What do you mean "they" any way? You're a Villa fan. You only ever ask about Villa connections.

RSC is going nowhere.

There were a couple of daft rumours kicking about today - I checked them and found they were wrong.

But I suspect at least one paper has fallen for them.

We shall see in the morning.

As I think both are wrong I'm not going to start any balls rolling here.

It's mad enough as it is...

Wouldn't be about Warnock would they?

I wonder if JW regrets not stumping up the cash for Lassana Diarra? He would have been a superb signing as a holding/box to box midfielder.

£6 million or there abouts looks good value in todays market.

I daresay Nicko has heard of Bullard and nobody would consider him obscure.

No i know he is well known but it was only last week Fulham said he wouldnt be leaving, therefore the thinking was that him being offered around is obscure.

It's not Steven Davis is it, ffan, has he been involved in dispute with Fulham over his transfer fee.

I haven't heard anything anyway. Hodgson prefers Davis to Bullard anyway.

How did the Andrews press conference go today?

ANDREWS - MK Dons people say it is still ongoing...just a bit puzzled that it has not gone through straight away.

The fact the manager isn't prepared to recommend we bid for him can't help.

Aston Villa Football Club (also known as The Villa, Villa and The Villans)[1] is an English professional football club based in Aston, Birmingham, who currently play in the Premier League. The club was founded in 1874 and have played at their current home ground, Villa Park, since 1897. Aston Villa were founding members of the Football League in 1888 and the Premier League in 1992.[4] The club was floated by the previous owner and chairman Doug Ellis, but in 2006 full control of the club was acquired by Randy Lerner.

They are one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in England, having won the First Division Championship seven times and the FA Cup seven times.[5] Villa are also one of only four English clubs to win the European Cup, which they did in 1982.[6] Aston Villa is the fourth most successful club in English football history, having won 20 major honours,[7] although most of these were won before the Second World War and the most recent was in 1996.

:P

Anyway, not a crime to be interested in a player is it, sheesh, you should take it as a compliment that teams want your players, shows they're playing well and not ######.

Be fair Rev, he gets most things absolutely bang on, if the odd thing falls at last minute hurdles or things take a little longer to happen than he predicted, his information as of yet has been remarkably accurate. The fact that he chooses to share it with us is alsoextremely commendable.

I see no reason to diss the guy.

has there been any serious names put forward for the small passing midfielder? any hints on when nicko might let us know? also i personaly feel gally hasnt had a proper chance to show what hes made of. i thought when i saw him he looked decent not quite enough strenth on the ball but surely that could be worked on.
