In a nutshell.....

1. Some members should maybe cut nicko some slack. HE IS only human and as such is bound to make mistakes.

2. Nicko you need to adopt a measure of humility, chill out more and dispense with your belligerence. YOU ARE only humen and as such you are bound to make mistakes.

And a message to all.......'To err is human, to forgive is divine'. :tu:

how dare you call other people to chill out more, you are the worst one on here for going over the top. But nothing suprises me with, your the one who wants our club to change our name, that says it all about you

WARNOCK - The Newcastle thing has resurfaced, but the story going round yesterday was that he had asked for a transfer. That is NOT the case.

ROQUE - Somebody is revving up that there is a problem with him...but the Man City rumour has to be one of the stupidest I have ever read. I can't believe that made print.

I have to say that your club is leaking like a sieve at the moment and several people in there need to sharpen up their act. I spend more time chasing stupid rumours coming from the place than I want to.

I could go further but I will bite my lip on this at the moment.

And, by the way, I am sick and tired of this anti-Ince thing I am being blamed for. I think I have broken the stories on all of the signings and targets...what's 'anti' about that? Some people are either short-sighted or dim-witted. Possibly both.

If you don't like some of the players he is going for - Fowler IS still here and Andrews is very much to of his wanted list - then who's fault is that.

Did you want me to ignore the coaching course trouble or the management course issue? No. And if you did, tough. It was factual and it was relevant.

Seconded. I agree completely on all fronts.

Too many of us are "hoping" to be proven wrong, but I dont think we will waiting to say I told you so cause then our club will be in a critical state...

Not sure I understand that sentence mate but I think you and I both have a feeling that Ince is already making a serious mess of the club he only inherited 7 weeks ago. Despite an unentertaining season last year Mark Hughes left us in a position of strength and I believe it's obvious things are going wrong already.

You don't always need conclusive "proof" that something is going wrong in football. I believe the atmosphere around BRFC at the moment is terrible...

It's getting a little tiresome hearing the line that Ince has a great managerial track record trotted out.

If leading Macclesfield to 22nd in the basement division (albeit from a perilous initial position) and MK Dons to promotion to the 3rd tier (with the largest budget in the division might I add) is a great track record then how good must Roberto Martinez, Sean O'Driscoll and Phil Brown be? And can you imagine the uproar within the supporters that their appointments would've brought?

I'm willing to give the guy a chance but nothing that has happened during his tenure so far has given me any reason to be excited about the season ahead...and the one thing you should be at the start of a new season under a new regime is exactly that.

Apprehensive, worried? Yes. Excited? No.

Nicko, ignore Revidge, for some reason he has been having a Summer long love-in with the moron we have got in as manager and he is blaming you for the fact that some posters on here realise he is useless...

I don't think it's fair to call Paul Ince a moron.

The guy has just arrived...too many are jumping on him too soon.

You HAVE signed three players, there could well be many more.

The time to analyse is much later.

Tottenham, Liverpool and Blackburn to win first game - 2/3 to win - neat odds.

Would you say Warnock is aiming to stay, Nicko? As for Roque, I get a feeling he, or rather his people, has been flogging him around - from what you tell us? Is that where the mutiny thing comes from?

Paul Ince needs to bring in two more quality players in my opinion, especially since he (apparently) doesn't think Vogel is the answer. One Steven Reid of old form and a quality replacement for Bentley. I find myself being pro-Emerton at the moment, and it worries me, but I wouldn't be against playing him in a central role if we're playing 5 in midfield. But having Skippy as the only real right midfield player (Treacy excepted) isn't good enough.

Any news on Carlos? He still hasnt been unveiled and i have heard very little from him.

I have a feeling that Warnock wants to go and we have now missed out on Shorey.

RSC - i think he will give us one more season. All depends if Guisselle and his kids like it round here.

Ince - we have to give him time. I dont remember so much negativity when MH took over and he had achieved very little.

What's with all this pro - Ince posting Nicko? Disgrace!

;) ;)

Maybe you should ask why there was less negativity towards Hughes...

Now that, i find particularly interesting. In previous times / seasons, our transfer rumours / information have been like gold dust - Nothing coming out of the club until a new signing was unveiled. Bellamy being a prime example - The first i heard was the photo shoot.

If i remember rightly, a few days ago someone mentioned that a story may have emerged to "out a mole" - Perhaps there is now even less truth behind any official rumours than there ever was? Certainly sounds like we have someone on the staff that is feeding information out of the club either deliberately or foolishly, and more than likely completely against the wishes of the remaining officials.

Who should i ask? I think it is purely down to the fact that MH has raised our expectations too high and that is not the fault of PI. Maybe also down to the fact we have had a very poor window so far.

if ince would just let andrews and/or fowler go. and start chasing some major player that we all know are great, then he will win over a lot of the fans right away. it is NO wonder why people jump on him judging by the ambition he is showing - bentley out, no replacement. a man utd talent, and a loanee from chile that is supposed to be good. no big names. not even a proven quality player. the closest is robinson, which i think was super biz.

add to that the shaky pre-season result, even though they dont matter, they do fuel worries.

just hope we win on saturday. thats all that matter.

I don't understand what right people have to call Paul Ince a moron. Bet you wouldn't say it to his face. The guy's a fighter and he knows that is what he has to do for Rovers. He could do without the fans playing silly beggars and constantly giving him grief though.

Much as we all admired Mark Hughes he did many things that we didn't understand. We still supported him though, and we had some good and bad times under his reign.

Give him a chance. Please.

thenodrog - what is it you have against Ince ? For me I am fairly neutral (would have preferred Laudrup if I am honest) - but am prepared to give him a few games to prove himself.

Must pull you up on your previous statement :-

1. He IS a successful manager. He has proven that he deserves a chance with what he has achieved at Macclesfield and MK Dons in just 2 years.

Nonsense. Name other Prem clubs that have ever recruited a managemnet team from the fourth Div? He was at Macc and MK Dons for a reason you know.

Ok - flip this around, who would be daft enough to hire a manager with no management experience at all. Hmm... lets think could be more than one of two including, during in his time at Liverpool, one of our own previous managers !

Give Ince a little slack - at least he was prepared to start at the bottom and work his way up (which has gained him a lot of respect in football circles).

That would involve a rational, reasoned argument with sussinct key points. Something that a lot of people are finding difficult right now.

I know it is an old story, but are the Annan/Andrews moves still in limbo, or is there progress? And are there any other midfielders that may be on the radar?
