I love Blackburn Rovers FC and Ince is the manager of my football club.

He has arrived and had it tough, he is young, inexperienced but wants to be here (which is more than Hughes can say), so give the bloke a chance and I mean a real chance, a dozen games til christmas and we take it from there. All this in house fighting- amongst the fans will not achieve anything.

Just imagine the outcry if Ince has a similar start to Hughes. A win in the first game (Jansen) then 9 games without winning (including consecutive 0-4 defeats) and a cup exit to Bournemouth

If this in house fighting gets rid of a guy who clearly wants to sign Robbie Fowler, is rumoured to want Keith Andrews, has signed Paul Robinson, has put Ray Mathias in charge of training and has got the Premiership/media circling round us like vultures within 7 weeks of being appointed then I think it will have achieved a good thing...

BTW, just because Hughes wanted to leave (after 4 years of progress which was hitting the buffers) that doesn't mean we have to now put up with anyone just because they "want the job."

Wanting the job means sweet FA if you are out of your depth. Laudrup wasn't desperate because he's better than Ince but if we had him then you can rest assured we wouldn't have had to put up with this shambles all Summer regardless of wether he'd be off to bigger and better things in 1 or 2 years time.

I think some people need to trust Ince's judgement over nicko's. One of them's a professional football manager, one writes about it..there's a reason why it's not the other way round.

Nicko's only telling us about stories he has heard or knows about, he is not making choices for Ince.

I'm not sure what your point is?

Nicko hasn't made any judgements. All the people who want to pretend things look great keep blaming Nicko for the fact that some others can smell the ###### a mile off...

I can't think of a single reason that Ince didn't end up in Journalism :P

There you go again. Would you care to provide an example of this??? As far as I can see Nicko just gives everyone the info, somepeople dont like what they hear, thats life. In fact I think Nicko has been advocating letting Ince get on with it and to make judgements later down the line when he has had a chance. You posts really are repeatedly stupid.

As an outsider looking in I have to say I've been really surprised by some of the opinions expressed about Ince and while I can't claim to know even a quarter of what you guys know about your club I thought he was a good appointment.

Sure you have lost Friedel and Bentley but that wasn't Ince's fault was it? Both wanted to move and would perhaps have gone even if Hughes had remained so I can't see how he can be accused of being at fault for their departures.

Perhaps they would have stayed if Hughes had stayed I don't know but it seems harsh to blame a man in the job five minutes. Also considering the contendors at the time Ince got the job I thought he was the best man for the job certainly ahead of Fat Sam.

Ince in lot of ways is similar to Hughes when he joined you in that he is a young manager with a point to prove and a burning ambition and it must be said both were a success in their own right prior to joining you.

I sense a lot of the frustration with Ince is due to the lack of new face at Ewood Park believe me I can understand this you should have seen our sites a week ago but 3 new faces a week later and all is well in the Villa world. Things can change quickly in football and as an outsider at this stage I wouldn't bet against Ince.

But as I say I can't claim to know a quarter of what you guys know about your club just thought I'd offer an outside view on the Ince era. I wish you the best of luck for the season ahead.

Have you ever made a single post on this messageboard that hasn't consisted solely of slagging Ince off?

Excellent post Trent. It's a shame in a way when it has to be a fan of another club introducing some commonsense onto here.

Nicko skysports have been mentioning that Arsenal are making a move for English Player Michael Johnson from Man Citeh?

Could this scupper the move for annan and give us a chance to go for him again and bring him in?

It depends if Ince wants him or not, if he really did like him when he is over here on trial last week, i think he would of signed him straight away, obviously Ince did not rate him that much to buy him

So Pish, you have a far better insight of the situation because you insult the manager and don't want him to do at all well? So all the people who are either optimistic, or would actually like to see a few competitive games before making their minds up are deluded?

How many meaningful games have been played? Has Fowler/Andrews/Ken Dodd been signed up yet? Tell me Pish.

But to more relevent topics. What is Benni's sitaution and if he goes, are there any names being lined up?

I've been here for more than 18 months + 2 years on another email address so of course I have.

You used to be pessimistic most of the time but you seem to have cheered up this summer.

Why do we have to put up with constant bickering on here, just cluttering everything up.

Pathetic! :angry2:

If he does well, I'll eat my words and obviously I'll be embarrassed after what I've been coming out with.

I don't see it happening though. Been going since 1987 and since Ince took over the vibes coming from the club and Ince have been awful...

I do mean what I say, I have very serious doubts about Ince and his crew but I'm also on the wind up to some degree...

Simon, the only commonsense being expressed is by those perplexed and worried about Ince's appointment.

one thing for sure, which i hate to admit, Tottenham are going to be a very good team this year.

Can't say I agree with this at all  .

Granted they have a million (and counting...) very talented midfielders but that is it. They have/ look set to be losing the best strike force in the league over the last few seasons and still have the worst defence in the top half of the league, I still don't think Gomez will be a hit and can't see a 36 year old Spanish keeper being the answer either

Spurs will probably create more than any of the other 19 Premiership clubs next season, but with the back and front lines they have now I can also see them scoring and conceding the same amounts as the bottom 3 :rover:

they will be around the top 4 spot come the end of the season, which i hate to admit

ARSENAL/JOHNSON/ANNAN - The Michael Johnson story is wishful thinking from his agent. Arsenal are after other players [plural] and he is not one of them just now. Remember the Gunners are NOT well off which is why they have set up a deal for Inler but need to get into the Champions League to afford it which is why Wenger is delaying on that one. Annan is only a small fee, so that deal is basically down to whether the player wants to go there and take his chances. One of the Norwegian chaps mentioned the other day that he is part-owned by SEM...which is Jerome Anderson, a man with very big Arsenal connections. Has the penny dropped yet about who made the approach to Start last week?
