Seems like we're all going to be busy in this new 'multi-faith' prayer room @ Ewood. Rather ironic that the club have announced this, there's always been a room there but clearly they must think it's going to be in greater demand this season.

Interesting to note on the official site they say "The specially soundproofed facility is designed to provide existing staff and supporters with a quiet space for prayer and reflection".

Wonder if a certain Welsh Prestbury resident will be visiting it?

When do 'teething problems' become the need for a trip to the dentist?

I suppose the real question is 'do you know if there is or is not unrest at Rovers?'

Fully understand about teething problems - but if it is not sorted out - checked out - the pain gets worse.

The way this close season has gone - not just with Rovers - we will see Hughes quit - Ince getting sacked - Hughes returns to Rovers with the club a few million richer from the Hughes compensation to city money. Ince, well he'll been seen walking along arm in arm with Andrews.

This is a weird close season in my view.

The next thing I expect is for the owner of JJB to buy mad city.

screw warnock, let the prat go, can't understand why all these ###### go to newcastle never win nothing so whats the point. don't know what is going on at ewood but they need to get a grip because its becoming a joke, getting linked with players then never bid for them, everyone wants to leave, starting to get worked up about it!!!!! :@:@

Does anyone feel this Warnock stuff on SSN and the Daily Mail continuing to stir it up is a backlash over Ince's comments yesterday about the media?

Surely it can only come from himself or his camp I'm sad to say

Just noticed a rumour suggesting Pompey are set to sign Stephen Appiah. Surely this is exactly the kind of player and kind of quality we should be looking at so why are we not having a go? Anyone know if there is actually anything in this? Nicko?

And with Annan, if he was to sign for Man Utd or Arsenal, we could try and get him on loan...again. It would help them as it would allow him to adapt to English football and he would probably help our team without spending much money. If not him then they would probably have some 'spare' midfielders who we could try for.

It would not surprise me if there were a lot in the media who would love Ince to fail. I hate to use the colour card, but to some it is an issue. I wonder if there are people in the media who are ' deliberatly' upsetting Ince becasue he is black. It is also possible that Ince opened the door to what is happening at his press conference when first appointed as manager. Maybe he came over as very weak etc and therefore ripe for the taking.

Maybe Nicko can shed some light on how Ince is viewed in the media.

Ince's comments were directed to the clubs making bids rather than the media if I remember correctly. Didn't he mention clubs bidding for McCarthy a week before the start of the season?

...and then go on to say that he himself wants to make signing this week

If it's race thing then it's our players that are racist as most of this unrest does seem to becoming from them. With the exception of a Roque interview the other day I don't see our squad rushing out to defend him either to be honest.

Warnock has NOT asked away...but he does fancy Newcastle United.

This is becoming a nightmare and explains why there were so many bids for him and all of this chatter.

So that wasn't me revving it up after all.

To clarify...I heard this story yesterday, checked it out and discovered he has NOT put in a request. He still has not. But he DOES want away.

Warnock obviously thinks/knows Newcastle United are still in for him and does not want to miss the chance.

This is becoming a bit troubling.

We all know the reason he has not asked for a transfer is he wants a cut of the transfer fee.More worrying is the players do not seem to like Ince and his coaching staff, which if true means we are in desperate trouble.

That's just not the case.

I was looking forward to an exciting if unpredictable season. I felt it needed a change as it happens.

But I have got to say I have never known so many stories flying around the club than there are right now.

I try to trace back where things come from and to get the strength of them before I commit to print.

But I have to repeat that this is like the Wild West at the moment...players coming and going and leaving and not coming.

I still say the time to judge is when the games start. But you can't be losing your best players and not finding suitable replacements.

As an advance of the 11 o'clocker I will tell you about the next left back in the sights. I think this one was originally as cover, but frankly you never know these days.

I'd be extremely surprised if this had anything to do with his colour.

That's just not the case. Thankful for that

I was looking forward to an exciting if unpredictable season. I felt it needed a change as it happens.

But I have got to say I have never known so many stories flying around the club than there are right now. Could they be creating a smoke screen because they have a big signing in their sights or even takeover news and trying to clear debts.

Totally agree, when the games start is the time to judge as everything Ince is trying to do may click into place which would give both players and manager confidence.

As an advance of the 11 o'clocker I will tell you about the next left back in the sights. I think this one was originally as cover, but frankly you never know these days. Thanks Nicko, your just invited the speculation drivel for the next 6 hours on this site.

One big love in would be boring...

I'm not after a big love in, as that would never happen. Just to stop the posts that simply have a go at another user and do not add to the debate in any way, shape or form.

Baines wouldn't settle for a bench role.

If Warnock leaves then he would be straight in the first team. Is he not in the Everton first team though?

We could always get another Man Utd youth.

The length of time the Bentley saga was going on for they should have had a replacement lined up so that he was replaced straight away.

Nicko is there any inkling that the board and John Williams have concerns with Ince and the coaching team already?

You are not going to get an answer to that one.

But if Sparky had still been at Ewood, do you think the transfer funds would be 75% unspent in the last week before the season begins?
