By the sound of things Rev we're hard pressed (or is it just very reluctant) to find £2m for Keith Andrews nevermind the cash for Lennon or Pennant.

Like I've been saying for a while bob, I don't think we're that interested in Andrews. As I understand it, Ince isn't prepared to recommend we bid for him.

That said, we didn't seem too keen to stump up a fee rising to 3.5m with add ons for Annan though.

Well I take my hat off to em because the so called transfer request has only surfaced today

and u expect rovers to state he isnt going? they stated that nobody was leaving yesterday but obviously nobody has listened - cos this speculation about warnock supposedly wanting to leave is still there

rovers explained their stance that no one is leaving - why shud they do it again just bcos of a sky sports rumour

Missing the point a tad. He might not get to leave but he wants to leave. Meaning? He's not happy. Why's that then? What could it possibly be? I doubt it's the offer of more cash from Newcastle by the way.

I'm surprised the Daily Nationalist hasn't said they're releasing Zurab to go fight in the conflict, or accuse him of being here illegally, or taking our jobs, etc.

I hope he doesn't go - he's easily got the foxiest other half from what I've seen. Added to that, always felt he was steady & consistent (City away apart) and a good asset due to being able to play in a few positions. That said, Oojer is the best leader of the lot IMO and I simply don't think Axe is anything near as good as Oojer or Zurab, much less Nelsen or Samba. Then again, if he's got an eye on youth in the long term perhaps he feels he'd listen to offers on some players.

ANNAN - Racing Santander have offered #2 million on or so...biggest bid yet. Arsenal still want him but don't want hyim to play on Thursday. I don't know of a Rovers bid...yet.

WARNOCK - As stated before, wants out but Newcastle are only talking #4.5 million. It will take more.

REPLACEMENT - Paul Konchesky at Fulham is the name being pursued. I hoped it was for cover.

FOWLER - D-Day on Thursday I believe. I think he will get a deal.

PENNANT - No nearer, but I have a feeling that one could happen just to 'raise spirits.'

Sorry that the pound signs aren't working. Dropped the laptop earlier.

MONEY - Yes, there is plenty. And not many can say that.

Yesterday 100% no one is leaving.

Last night Warnock to his agent, what about my move to Newcastle, Ince say's no one's leaving.

Um, Ok I tell you what , get yourself in for training tomorrow, meanwhile I'll call a few freinds ;)

Stick in a transfer request, and you can be sure it will be in the media. That's what you pay me for . :rolleyes:

Of course he wants to leave.

Why do you think the story won't go away? Do you not think he and his agent have been engineering the move all along?

Why has nobody from the club come out and denied that he has asked to leave?

It seems obvious to me.

But I think Ince should make a firm stance and not grant his wish. Somebody needs to be showing who is boss right now.

Nicko the CM player you mentioned but would not name is it going to happen or has that one died.. please tell me there is news on that.. we are actually hoping for Pennant now as the rest have been rubbish options.. ????????

I think all this talk of the trustees holding money back is just the old nerves. JW has run this club very well over the past few years. So he doesnt want to pay an extra million for a 2nd division player. That doesnt mean that we dont have money to spend. A million pounds is a lot of money, does anyone have any idea how many extra season tickets we'd need to sell to cover that? Back the manager, get the player in but do it on our terms. We are one of the best run clubs in the league, there's no point throwing all the hard work away in a panic now. Plus if the season start badly we'll need cash to back the manager in January even if it's not Ince by then.
