£15 million plus extras would be more like it.

Remember that £8.5 million plus Robinson [valued at £3.5 million] and installments was rejected a week ago. So £12 million plus installments is the SAME offer.

It has to be around £15 million and rising.

Grella...Bresciano...I think there is an Aussie agent with someone's phone number.

With the money Rovers have they surely must do better than these guys.

Grella and Bresciano are best mates as well.. would be interesting to see how much that would effect our marketing income from Oceania to have almost a 3rd of the Ausy team on our books and Nelson as well..

What sort of form is Bresciano in? He was highly thought of a few years ago, but then the hype went quiet.

Brescaino was in very poor form for Palermo. I remember him saying 'that it was the worst season of his career'..

Grella was playing in a team that was fighting relegation week in, week out. Torino were probably one of the worst teams in Serie A this season.

EDIT; Marco might be worth a shout, but not Vince. Although having said that, Vince would be a much better 'holding midfielder' than Mokoena.

Poor form last season, good form the season before. To be fair though, it seems part of the reason Palermo were benching him alot last season was as punishment for wanting to leave. Latest reports are that he's looked very good in pre-season, enough that Palermo are having second thoughts about letting him go.

Pennant is a better crosser of a ball and also can put a tackle in - two things Lennon cant do

Liverpool fans don't think so.

Grella to Blackburn ?

Do you know anything about this Nicko ?

Fulham again! Flippin' 'eck - thats how to back a manager!

A few or the more recent names have much more quality about them than the usual suspects - Benayoun ---mmmm......I'm warming up a bit.

nicko........any truth in the rumour david dunns name is being circulated at circa 1.5 million ??

Not that I have heard. The Middlesbrough rumour was just that - a rumour. His name was mentioned in there but he was overlooked.

I must admit I think Dunny may struggle for a game if they land all of the midfielders they are sniffing around just now.

But, to be fair, it's all in the melting pot right now and a bit early to be sure.

SPURS POISED TO UNVEIL BENTLEY

Tottenham look set to unveil David Bentley on Thursday after the England winger arrived from Blackburn and underwent a medical in London.

The 23-year-old is expected to travel to Holland this weekend with his new team-mates to be part of Spurs' pre-season preparations at the Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament.

Blackburn chairman John Williams had rejected bids earlier in the summer from Spurs and Aston Villa, but an improved offer was lodged, closer to the £18million Bentley was valued at.

Spurs have scheduled a press conference on Thursday in Chigwell at their training facilities, with Bentley expected to attend.

Rivals Arsenal, Bentley's former club, are believed to be in line to receive a percentage of the deal as part of the terms of his transfer to Ewood Park in 2006.

All the midfielders......................???

We have Villneuva, and are linked with Pennant. Are you implying there are more?

There are a couple due in on trial and others being watched.

Castillo was coming - some of that style is needed - fresh legs, strong.

And, of course, the MK Dons lad we are not allowed to mention.

Nicko, I'm back and guess what I'm asking about Warnock again. Any news on this?

I see Bassong has signed, but I think he is just a squad man.

My info is that Newcastle still want Warnock - whether they plan to bid more cash or try to push the Duff thing is up to them.

If Newcastle want Warnock that badly, maybe they should offer us James Milner... This would leave us nolonger looking for a RM. His injuries wouldnt matter as we have Emerton.

It would leave us looking for a LB, but dont see this as, as much of a problem as having 2 LM, and still needing a RM and a replacement LB...

Nicko, it's been reported that Tal Ben Haim has signed for Man City (rather than loaned):

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...y_seal_tal_deal

Does this mean they have some money, and does this mean we should now be worried about Santa Cruz?

Four-year contract, full-time deal...no mention of a fee yet. I can't believe they are paying any kind of cash for someone who was a free a year ago.

Agent Zahavi and his pal Joorabchian seem to be doing all of the deals there. I wonder if the manager really wanted him.

Who is going to be dropped to let him in the team? Richards? Dunne?

It's Billy Smarts Circus.

And they still won't be signing Roque...

I thought all the wanted was a squad man? Jose Enrique is a perfectly capable left back, surely they don't need three players there?

Perfectly capable of conceding goals.
