Yes they do. I'm sure some of our esteemed members keep a scrapbook of Nicko's stories to keep as sniping ammunition.

I don’t think people would do so much if nicko was just a little more humble. When he’s is off target the backtracking comes out and when he’s right he shouts it from the roof tops, the “I told you so” attitude rears its ugly head and posting links to sites (often unreliable ones that he usually slates) that corroborate a story he told us a day or two as if this is some kind of proof. Chances are the story got on that site because someone read it on here anyway…

In my experience Nicko normally provides information with the disclaimer that this is what he has been told by sources within football. When things change, he points out that things have changed. We won't sign every player that Nicko tells us we're looking at, there are a million reasons why things change in football. It's a little tiresome when we're linked with someone, Nicko gives us all the info he can, the deal doesn't come off and people start calling him a storyteller/gossip merchant/liar liar pants on fire.

I don't know the details in Warnock's contract or whether or not its standard practice, but with Gareth Barry for example if he had put in a transfer request he would have lost a 'loyalty bonus'.
