Hughesy Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Mark Hughes is nothing to us, he wasnt from the day he decided to talk to City to try and force Chelsea. City were 2nd choice for Hughes - ha ha muppets! Hughes has gone, so has brad, so has bentley - we are over that - time to move onwards and upwards with cash in the bank. I also thought it was great that the other day City revealed they hadnt cleared the debts when Thaskin too over either, therefore they already had £40m outstanding in debts - along with £60m of transfers since on the never never, £5m borrowed for Hughes, £6m borrowed off Wardle and NO STADIUM!! HA HA PRICELESS! For everything else there is Mastercard.

T4E Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 City were 2nd choice for Hughes - ha ha muppets! Whilst I'd love to join in a laugh along with you, I can't help wondering what that makes us.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Manchester is an awful city. Scum and Manchester ######. I'll puke. I am glad I got on the train to Blackburn as fast as possible last time I landed in Manchester. It's a fantastic city.

Hughesy Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Whilst I'd love to join in a laugh along with you, I can't help wondering what that makes us. Who cares what it makes us, we already had him, we were going stale anyway, he couldnt get us any further, he had run out of ideas. Once he decided to go - City were not his 1st choice.
gbax Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Manchester is an awful city. Scum and Manchester ######. I'll puke. I am glad I got on the train to Blackburn as fast as possible last time I landed in Manchester. Yawn! It's has always been a great city! The money they're spending to regenerate it is creating a fantastic modern/cosmo city! Great shopping/nights out!
Plastic Head Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Perhaps the City fans need to be reminded that last season at Ewood was the worst in the last 30 years in terms of entertainment. I for one was not that unhappy to see the back of the Hughes-Bowen 21st century training methods and tactics. Four seasons was enough. I don't see any players in the City squad that will make him play in any other way than he did here, and that would include RSC. They will find this out for themselves in a few days time if they haven't already worked it out from the UEFA "preview". As for them buying players, the vultures would already be circling around Eastlands if it were not for the fact that all their players are pants and no-one but Stoke or Hull will want any of them.
Paulsman Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 QUOTE (Paulsman @ Aug 14 2008, 10:25 ) I'd be very suprised if Newcastle were thinking about selling Milner. But if someone is stupid enough to offer £9m, then it's maybe too good to refuse. Being a Newcastle fan, and listening to Milner speak on interviews with the official website over the past couple of days, I reckon the story is complete tosh to be honest. You have the same problem as Man City, your board and chairman are on a completely different page to their manager and players in my opinion. By the way whats happened to Collocini? Coloccini is as good as signed. Just waiting on international clearance. I think you're just as far off the mark as the national media with your comment about the board. Mike Ashley and Keegan both did big (4 page) interviews for the new Newcastle United magazine the other day. Not suprisingly, the media have chosen not to write about it. In the interviews they both outline their objectives (both want to win something, finish this season in the top half etc), and they both say that everything is working well with the new setup (Wise and co.). But tehe media like to ######-stir. It's frustrating because Wise's job is to bring 4-8 under 18 players to the club every year, and also HELP in the negotiations of first team players. But according to the media, he's there to ###### off Keegan and do everything behind Keegans back.
pksrover Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Manchester is an awful city. Scum and Manchester ######. I'll puke. I am glad I got on the train to Blackburn as fast as possible last time I landed in Manchester. Well obviously you have never actually been in Manchester, cos its fantastic! I guess you refer to the two teams citeh and man utd?
vintageadidas Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 We have got over Hughes, Brad and Bentley like we got over Shearer, Le Saux, Berg, Bellamy and so on. I honestly think MH will now understand how well a run club Blackburn Rovers are. Love him or hate him Greame Souness is still a good advocate for our club on TV.
Manchester Blue Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Citeh fans have always been the same. Make some of ours seem like rational, sensible fans. Win a 3rd round cup tie and it's their year, lose a game and it's the end of the world. The truly believe they are massive and big success is just around the corner, despite the fact that a large percentage of their fans have never seen success. To be honest they didn't need to bid for Roque to fool their fans, even hinting at a massive signing would have been enough for the majority.
ricsipontaz Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Nicko the keeping it quiet for sunday kid, wasn't he on trial at liverpool?? He wasn't on trial at Liverpool. (But then Gulácsi, Simon, Pölöskei and Németh are in Liverpool. Nemeth was played very well in the Liverpool Reserves last year, kicked many goals. And this year he was played some times in the Senior Squad. He is a talent. ) Is Hungary enjoying a golden age of footy at the moment or something? Liverpool have been signing young Hungarians as if the Magic Magyar age has returned. The hungarian replacement is better year by year. (For example the u19 European Championship, Hungarian bronze medal) Liverpool and MTK (the former club of these guys) have a contract. If MTK has a talent player, he has the chance to play in Liverpool.
Plastic Head Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 """Mark Hughes has warned his Manchester City players that he is in charge and will not let anyone leave Eastlands without his permission.""" So he owns the players contracts now does he....isn't that against EPL rules??? Or has he bought the club from Thaksin at a knock down £1M?
vintageadidas Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Think how much trouble they be in if they had signed Ronaldinhio - £200,000 a week was mentioned.
pksrover Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Villa fans reckon they can get Roque for £15 million... We need to stick with the stance that 'not for sale' means 'not for sale'. We don't need the cash, and to buy a replacement as good as Roque in terms of his goals plus his workrate would be difficult to do, especially in terms of getting a player of his quality to come to the club. They've just given Carew a new £3.5 mill a year contract so I can't see why they want to spend big money on Santa Cruz
dring1 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 nicko dont normally ask you questions but a guy on rovers official board has said a big signing is immenent and it has come from 2 journos, 1 who works for the express but said that know one can find out who. do you have any ideas or is this guy talking c**p
b12_simon Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 "what is it with Blackburn and Spurs fans at the moment?.. At least City fans are "mostly" realistic and no quite onestly most of the time we are preety gash and accept it" Actually "gash" is about right. It's what I think of most City fans, anyway.
pksrover Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 We have got over Hughes, Brad and Bentley like we got over Shearer, Le Saux, Berg, Bellamy and so on. I honestly think MH will now understand how well a run club Blackburn Rovers are. Love him or hate him Greame Souness is still a good advocate for our club on TV. Hughes said that loads of time in the media, how good a job the Rovers job was and that he really appriciated the relationship he had with JW and the board. But strangely enough he forgot all about it when Thaksin flashed the cash and big ideas. As Nicko has said as well, its weird that a bright, well we thought so anyway, guy like Hughes fell for the Mad Thai's visions.
Plastic Head Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Well obviously you have never actually been in Manchester, cos its fantastic! Crumpsall, Collyhurst, Longsight, Moss Side, Rusholme, parts of Wythenshawe, Partington, Ordsall, Newton Heath, Broughton, Cheetham Hill, Gorton and parts of Eccles are NOT fantastic I can assure you from experiance. Park a decent car up (any car for that matter) in Collyhurst and kids will jumping up and down on it within minutes whether you're in it or not. Or maybe your'e just seeing Selfridges and Harvey Nicholls. Mind you half of Blackburn will be the same given time....

Antgrad Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 both want to win something, finish this season in the top half etc Yeah, and we want to win the treble this season. If you're going to be ridiculous so can we.
alexanders Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Well obviously you have never actually been in Manchester, cos its fantastic! I guess you refer to the two teams citeh and man utd? Yeah I do. Maybe it was a stupid post.

We had been talking about the city centre. Plus your post is a bit rich as you live in Lower Darwen!
vintageadidas Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Who would you WANT to finish above? Spurs, City or Villa Mine would be City.
LeChuck Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Well obviously you have never actually been in Manchester, cos its fantastic! Not sure about 'fantastic', but it's not bad. I think I'll be getting out soon though if I can, there's not a whole lot to do and it grows old pretty quickly.
