Bobby G Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Villa of course. Their fans arent as "big" about themselves as the others. Overall, they arent the most arrogant of clubs either.

Hughesy Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Who would you WANT to finish above? Spurs, City or Villa Mine would be City. All 3
Ninja Boi Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Villa of course. Their fans arent as "big" about themselves as the others. Overall, they arent the most arrogant of clubs either. Thankyou.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Seen this "big signing" is described as a long term target - therefore probably a right winger - hopefully not Pennant. As it is described as "big" surely can't be Andrews
Majiball Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 He wasn't on trial at Liverpool. The hungarian replacement is better year by year. (For example the u19 European Championship, Hungarian bronze medal) Liverpool and MTK (the former club of these guys) have a contract. If MTK has a talent player, he has the chance to play in Liverpool. I have seen Nemeth, yes he looks promising, what do you think of the mentiond lad??? Got any other tips from your rising crop of youngsters? nicko dont normally ask you questions but a guy on rovers official board has said a big signing is immenent and it has come from 2 journos, 1 who works for the express but said that know one can find out who. do you have any ideas or is this guy talking c**p It was in todays LET too Do either of you have links???
alexanders Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 When is this big signing going to happen? Above Spurs to laugh at David Bentley AND because they have spent a fortune and always thinks they are going to break the top 4.
Leyther Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Who would you WANT to finish above? Spurs, City or Villa Mine would be City. I've wanted to finish above city since they celebrated promotion at Ewood a few years back, and behaved like scumbags all day.Didn't really have a problem with them before that, I have wanted them to lose every game thereafter.
pksrover Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Crumpsall, Collyhurst, Longsight, Moss Side, Rusholme, parts of Wythenshawe, Partington, Ordsall, Newton Heath, Broughton, Cheetham Hill, Gorton and parts of Eccles are NOT fantastic I can assure you from experiance. Park a decent car up (any car for that matter) in Collyhurst and kids will jumping up and down on it within minutes whether you're in it or not. Or maybe your'e just seeing Selfridges and Harvey Nicholls. Mind you half of Blackburn will be the same given time.... well you can put Fallowfield on that list as well, thats why I'm not living there anymore. I meant the city centre, and no not only selfridges and harvey nicholls A lot of the places you mention are on the outskirts, or even further out in my opinion. aaanyway, back to topic...Where's Nicko?
gbax Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I've wanted to finish above city since they celebrated promotion at Ewood a few years back, and behaved like scumbags all day.Didn't really have a problem with them before that, I have wanted them to lose every game thereafter. We battered them that day. Everything they touched went in. Then they swarmed over Ewood like it was a play ground!
joey_big_nose Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Seen this "big signing" is described as a long term target - therefore probably a right winger - hopefully not Pennant. As it is described as "big" surely can't be Andrews Hmm. Obvious guess is Pennant. Not sure there is anyone else we can describe as "long term".... Annan has been tracked for ages. Michael Bradley?
dring1 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have seen Nemeth, yes he looks promising, what do you think of the mentiond lad??? Got any other tips from your rising crop of youngsters? Do either of you have links??? no i just got it from a guy who posts on the official board
vintageadidas Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I cannot find anywhere that states we are going to make a signing of a long term target.
ricsipontaz Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have seen Nemeth, yes he looks promising, what do you think of the mentiond lad??? Got any other tips from your rising crop of youngsters? Gosztonyi is a very good player, but he is very young, so he needs time to develop. Before the U19 EC, Gosztonyi was elected the best hungarian U19 player by the hungarian football association (MLSZ). On the European Championship not he was the best, but he had some good movement. In short he is a talent too.
gbax Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 To play devil's advocate, how much of a role does Frank really play in the day-to-day running of Citeh? I would imagine Hughes is working more closely with Garry Cook and had only met Frank once or twice. From Hughes' point of view, he probably doesn't give a monkies what Frank is like, as long as the cash is there - and therein lies the problem of the plan not going to plan. Hughes has said that he hasn't even met him yet - only phone calls.
SAS Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have seen Nemeth, yes he looks promising, what do you think of the mentiond lad??? Got any other tips from your rising crop of youngsters? Do either of you have links??? I read it in the paper. Its on the back page, column left Surely someone else has read it
The Prof. Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Who would you WANT to finish above? Spurs, City or Villa Mine would be City. Not if they go into admin.
Ewood and I Would Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Not if they go into admin. Especially if they go into admin! Finish below a team that's had points deducted?....No thanks !
Parsonblue Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 """Mark Hughes has warned his Manchester City players that he is in charge and will not let anyone leave Eastlands without his permission.""" So he owns the players contracts now does he....isn't that against EPL rules??? Or has he bought the club from Thaksin at a knock down £1M? What he is showing is that he is in control of the playing side and that if City officials don't like it he would walk. He is providing leadership and not complaining about the situation. Perhaps our present manager could follow his example and instead of complaining about the media and other clubs and pleading to be given time to prove himself he could begin to give the impression that he is actually controlling events rather than the other way round. Who would you WANT to finish above? Spurs, City or Villa Mine would be City. Personally, I'll settle for finishing above Hull, WBA and Stoke City for a start.
Esulx Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I honestly think MH will now understand how well a run club Blackburn Rovers are. Love him or hate him Greame Souness is still a good advocate for our club on TV. Didn't Dean Saunders come out and say that Blackburn were a well run club before Sparky left for Moan City.
BlueMG Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Didn't Dean Saunders come out and say that Blackburn were a well run club before Sparky left for Moan City. He certainly did - It's here. http://www.mychoicefm.com/newsdetails.asp?...42&cat_id=2
vintageadidas Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have stated this before but the Souness era are still good advocates for our club.
T4E Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 It would seem so VA - they are a few years ahead of Sparky. I wouldn't be surprised if, in two or three years time, the unemployed duo of Hughes and Bowen are making similar statements.
Roar of the Rover Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Just bought the LET Article today and this is what it says regarding the long summer target : "Paul Ince is hopeful of clinching his 5th summer signing ahead of saturdays PL opener at Everton. The Rovers manager has already bought in Paul Robinson, Carlos Villanueva, Danny Simpson and Julio Santa Cruz to Ewood Park this Summer And the Lancashire Telegraph understands that Ince is now close to capturing one of his long=standing summer targets. The player is unlikely to be Serbian Nikola Zigic, although the Valencia striker is among those being watched by Rovers. Reports in Spain have suggested Rovers, along with PL new boys Stoke, have made an approach for the 27-year-old. However, despite despatching Blackburn scouts to watch Zigic in action, Rovers have not submitted a concrete offer to Valencia" Probably Andrews or Pennant. Source: LET (Just copied it from there for those who can't get hold of a copy)
