Decent left back, mistake by going to Everton though.

I don't see why Everton would want Warnock when they ahve Lescott in that role.

Baines is OK and available.

I've said more than once that this board has gone down hill since Nickomania took over. Scoops are great; they won't always be right, but I can wait for them to come out in the papers 1 day later. I'm all for expanding the member pool, but are we better off with folk who use it solely to impress their mates at school? Roll on the season and the transfer window shutting.

It seems to me that you're partly right - there are elements of this thread that have gone downhill and I include both of the extremes in that - from the brand new Nicko fanboys to the seemingly bitter older guard. Those of us that enjoy reading about the inner workings of our football club like me will miss this thread if it disappears, and will be disappointed, but have been here long enough to carry on enjoying reading the other topics. Hopefully everybody is grown up enough for it not to get to the point where a very vocal minority ruin it for the majority.

All I will say about the right back is that he has never been mentioned before - to the best of my knowledge.

It is a surprise as other targets were being watched.

There may be a reason why this deal is on...but it's a strange one.

And it could be that this guy won't be the only full back arrival either.

By the way, the Barca goalie will not be staying - and I don't think Annan is in either.

Checked both last night but could not post them this morning... B)

So IF Warnock did end up leaving that would mean 2 decent left backs we could go for. Baines and Shorey. Any idea of his price?

Interesting about the right back though, you don't sound terribly excited by this so I'm assuming we won't be either. I'd be quite happy with just a solid player at right back as long as the central midfielder and right winger are quality.

Let me guess, one of Ince's Pals. How would you rate him Nicko? Like with Villanueva, obviously you rated him very highly and the clips everyone else has seen look very promising. Would this guy raise a few eyebrows?

Any idea when Rovers will unveil or confirm the signing of King Carlos. I thought it would be today but no signs of it yet?
