WARNING, OFF TOPIC: its probably the type of font. for screen purposes you would always want to use fonts like this one. Garamond is a terrible screenfont. i thought he used the font and color so he could easily find his post, but then he should make the text red i guess.

yes. i have been thinking that this year we have a decent amount of money (it seems), but we dont want to spend?

if villanueva is a blast this year, we will buy him for 4m, right? then maybe simpson is a blast aswell, and we want to buy. thats at least 4m more i guess? thats 8 million out next year just to keep the squad we have this year :blink: are we holding the money one year to earn the interest?? or do we have to pay that on top of the fee, if we decide to buy a year from now??

I have also been tipped off that there is every chance of a few loan signings...just to be sure the players are up to standard.

Nicko - I have noticed your tone recently has turned to slight disapproval of things going on at BRFC.....?

My view is there seems to be no strategy with regards to players coming in. Looks a bit random. Then again, it must be difficult for Ince, as he does not have scouting structure in place etc.

No, not entirely the case or exactly the case. Just trying to take in what is going on...and make sense of it.

I think it is alll happening a bit fast and furious in the transfer market...and it is a big ask for a new management team to be sure about the players they are signing.

Robinson is an ok replacement for Friedel, but does need to be 'rescued.' Villanueva should be excellent - I said 'we hope' be cause I would like to be entertained. Simpson is a decent player but just a bit of a surprise that he came on the radar.

But I am a bit puzzled by the amount of names I hear flying around and the trialists being lined up.

Is anybody else concerned that we have a manager and coaching staff (archie knox accepted) that have little or no experience in the premier league and we are taking players on loan or on trial that have little or no premier league experience ?

Is the puzzling aspect; a lack of quality amongst the linked players by any chance. If so where where has our 25-30 million transfer kitty?

I hear there will be a total of four - maybe even more - trialists in this week. That is a bit odd with the season under two weeks away.

It will be interesting to see who signs between now and the end of the month...and what they cost.

Until then let's wait and watch.

Isn't 2 loan signings the maximum in the Prem?

Take £10m off BNSG's estimate (see the Pennant thread) but I've got a suspicion of how the Gods looking down from St Hellier are viewing the world at the moment.

As always they will be looking at the darkest thunder storm and brightest sunny day and strategising for both.

The fact they are thinking in three to five year time spans doesn't stop the fans going bananas over each transfer window we pass through though. Anybody who doubts that should ask themselves whether the responsibility of guiding one of the most historic clubs in football weighed heavilly on Jack Walker's appreciation of what he was doing at Rovers or not.

Hmmm….. Philipl the poster of contradictions & wild assumptions. The man who personally made £76 million in one year for the Island of Malta, yet can still has the time to make 50 posts a day on a football fan-site :blink:

The 10 million came from Nicko- Which you agreed with right?

5 million from the Hughes & staff Compo

Anywhere between 9-11 million from the Bentley deal

3 million from the trust

-1 million for the Robinson/Freidal switch

600 k for loans

Yes that atleast 25 million & the fact that since jan we are at least 4 mill lighter on wages.

Anthony Annan got injured and had to come off during their match today. dont know how serious it is yet.

thanks for that, 1st we loose to wolves, then we had mokena playing centre half with centre :lol: then we loose santa to an injury, then were looking to bring in a united reserve, then nicko tells us we may not be spending any of the transfer kitty, if there ever was one :wacko:

anyone else wana join in?

nicko, anything potential trialist or loan players being looked at worth drooling over :rover:
