Good ol sky, adding 1 and 1 and getting 5. Nicko any news on Steele and what exactly was this whole 3 week contract he signed with Rovers?must be one of the shortest contracts ever signed

wouldnt go as far as "close to a done deal". i read the norwegian source, and it says rovers are keen, but no bids have been made. of course if we want him, all we have to do is pay. IK Start desperately need the money, so they will not stand in our way, but he might be a little pricey. but he is good. no doubt.

And here i was SURE that i left the door open wide enough that i wasn't totally commited and nobody could pin me down. Dagnabbit!!

Give it time...a whole season is a good start...so was Bentley I recall.

Could be good business.

A year from now a lot could have happened both at United and Rovers.

He will be playing for you next season. Don't complain.

Also, what's the latest with warnock hope he doesn't go?

Is it true that city are after cisse on loan with a view to buy, this could take them off the santa cruz trail. :rolleyes:

nicko, did ince actually want simpson in the 1st place or was is just a case the red faced fergie offered him as compensation for steele and ince thought why not take him were looking for a RB anyway

I will put up some snippets from the Blackpool friendly later on...quite interesting too...make it the 11 o'clocker.

Meanwhile the LET will be doing the Danny Simpson story tomorrow, no doubt.

We let Blackpool play Mokoena now half our team are injured?

most employees will have some form of notice period in their contracts. It's only football players who sign for a fixed term and then the club 'own' their contracts.

I would have thought steele was a normal employee....?

can anyone confirm?

Given he's effectively his own company (co reg 05779240), I would have thought he was employed on a contractor basis, certainly not PAYE!!!

Then again he may just be moving to United to dodge IR35....

For extra trivia points, and to win pub arguments, one of Rover's best players of the last 15 years was never actually employed by the club - name him?

How long did Steve Coppell last as Man City boss, about four games wasn't it?
