Nope, I think this is the quickest/Shortest what ever you want to call it.

Leroy Rosenior, he signed for Torquay United as manager and then quit within 10 minutes on the 17th May 2007

Haha wasn't that when they changed chairmen or something, I don't think he's managed since.

Bit like when Dave Unsworth was at Villa for about 2 seconds.

I will put up some snippets from the Blackpool friendly later on...quite interesting too...make it the 11 o'clocker.

Meanwhile the LET will be doing the Danny Simpson story tomorrow, no doubt.

More reliable, did someone say???

blackburn lose 4-2 in the game??

nicko, with ince saying that hes looking to sign 2 more players, does that mean a DM and a Righ winger

I think he signed the first in Simpson.

The second would be a midfield 'sitter.'

But I think there will be more.

blackburn lose 4-2 in the game??

Yup.

All im interested in,is to know who was the team that played, today. Nicko can you at least give us that info. Bit worried abou our pre season form, and i know we played mostly youngsters and reserve team players, but its stil makes you wonder if the rest of the squad are good enough.

There really does need to be more. If we do not make a big money signing this summer then fan optimism for the new season really will be low. We should surely have the money that was set aside before the season started in addition to the Bentley money, which is why I'm a little suprised to see us linked to simply trialists and fairly cheap deals. I'm not advocating going out there and spending cash for the sake of it, but the club really do need to make a statement of intent and increase fan morale before the end of the window. The best players aren't going to come on free's and trials, they're going to cost good money.

What happened to the money that we supposedly had pre Bentley leaving the club? We should have a fair bit to spend, if and when Ince wants to use it, but I won't hold my breath.

I suppose Ince doesn't really want to have to ship players out until he's had proper time to look at them. I reckon he'll be (perhaps unwisely) saving some cash over for January and then having a clearout before buying more players in.

Then again, Hughes really needed some extra legs in over the January period last season and didn't have any money to spend at all, so it might be a good idea.

I don't know, thankfully I'm not the manager.

With all these loanees coming in it does look like we're trying before we buy, so I'm not worried that we're not spending now, as we'll probably buy in January instead. There's no point in splurging for the sake of it, especially if players turn out to be a pile of steaming poo meaning we'll have wasted a lot of our budget and we won't have to buy to replace them!

Nicko,

Why is the club so hesitant to buy players with all the loan deals and trials of players I never heard of going on at the moment? I mean we lost Bentley, surely Ince or the board must look at someone filling his boots.

I know we don't have money to throw around like some other clubs but I just hope we go for someone who can light up the town.

What do you make of it?
