For £7 million sell sell sell! Hurry before Keane will think twice! He is lazy these days. He was great but I´d prefer Derbs and even Roberts next to RSC.

Thank the Lord you're not picking the team! I don't think Derbyshire is (or ever will be) Premiership standard, and Roberts isn't even Championship standard in my opinion.

And we should have money to buy even more expensive cover. Although wage policy is a bit problem. Saviola could be good but sounds very unlikely. No one has ever mentioned Steven Fletcer. I haven´t seen him playing but there´s got to be somethingh if linked Real Madrid.

The deal we struck for Benni was every bit as good value as the one for Roque in my opinion. Benni is also a Champions League winner, and is still a decent age.

And FLETCHER?? Riiiggghhht...

Are you having a laugh - he is probably the most under-rated striker not at a top 4 club - he is class, he has pace, power and scores goals.

Acceleration and pace to burn, I like him he's young (depending on who you talk too) he would be a fantastic addition, prem experience, Wengers always looking at him. I just can't see us spending the required dollar though, pity.

You could put him as point and have RSC in the hole, I'm sure he plays there more often than not for Paraguay and he score's goals a plenty still.

Diogo, the brazilian wengers been looking at could be worth a punt, or even Guilherme another brazilian, for an ENglish lad how about campbell or sinclair.

Can't see us splashing on Podolski, but Walcott is a weird one. Didn't we have a bid rejected before?

Young, fast and I think he'd bag loads. (He's English, but it doesn't matter in any way shape or form)

I saw him play when he was a kiddie for southampton, he can finish, I don't understand why he's not scored more for the gunners he was prolific at youth level. Sometimes it can be too much for a youngen, and taking him to the World Cup, what where they thinking!

But he's still got it in him I wonder whether wenger would part with him?? offer them his money back, they might take it!

Just to add if, if Benni is sold the club will have no choice but to buy a big replacement, selling three of our 1st 11 and not signing a big player would not wash, they know this. 7M if its true buys a quality young south american.

Whats his name, ######, seal dribble lad flips the ball up and runs along with it at full pace bouncing it on his head, Kerlon

We'd also have a case of playing him on the right if we play Cruz up top.

I'm warming to the idea of Walcott. He has something we don't have - pace. Which is why we are terrible at counterattacking.

I really don't believe that the will - or the money - is there to make a major signing to replace Benni and that Fowler would be the replacement that Ince would opt for. I just don't believe that move would strengthen us.

If thats the case then we shouldn't sell.

Nicko hinted that it was possible that the money from the Bentley sale or a portion of it was being used to pay off debts. And if you look at the fact we are looking to bring in two loans (Villanueva, Simpson) plus a free transfer (Fowler) and the likes of Annan and Sable who shouldn't cost that much, perhaps our guesses are way off in how much of a budget we have to spend.

If Benni was to go and we didn't spend any money on a new striker i would rather look at playing Derbyshire up front with Roque than Fowler. I think Derbs could form a decent partnership with Roque and playing week in week out could develop his game further. It all depends on what formation Ince wants to play, if you read the recent Tugay article on the official site it seems to suggest that Ince will be using more than one formation, perhaps a 4-4-2 at home or against weaker sides and maybe one up front away or against stronger sides?

cou cou cou counter what...............? I am unfamiliar with this word as a Rovers fan.

its how we played when we had bellamy

mccarthy has more natural talent in his little finger than derbyshire will ever have.

but i think we really need a clever player a la sheringham, to play with santa cruz.

what about scholes.....is he still good enough for united?

To an extent we did, but that was not proper counter attacking and was 2 full seasons ago. When was the last time we broke away with pace? Yes Bellamy could do it but you had Tugay, Dunn, Pedersen and so on shouting wait up Bellers - huff huff, cough .....nearly there. Oh he has shot now, back to positions lads....

It makes more sense to play 4-4-2 against weaker sides and at home – and 4-5-1 against the better teams as you can only beat them if you boss the midfield and not give them time & space.

IF Benni was to leave then it has to be only aslong as we are replacing him with someone better – I would not be happy with Fowler/ or some other has been as his replacement. You should only sell if either the player is desperate to leave (i.e. Bentley), been turned by cash (Friedel) or if you can improve your team from the sale. Otherwise keep him.

If Benni has sorted his head out and is ready to knuckle down then he should be sold. He has real quality, its just trying to keep him happy isn’t as easy – he seems to be the kind of player that needs the limelight of being the top dog and is the kind of player that wants to be praised every week in order to perform. Hopefully the lad can regain his goalscoring this season – if so then there is no way we should sell. £10m however would be very tempting at his age!

im torn over benni.

a big part of me thinks we should keep hold of him.

I believe his attitude and poor form of last year was mainly down to differences between him, MH and the coaching staff.

if he could recapture the form of his debut season, his partnership with santa would be one of the most formidable in the lge.

however if his attitude and poor form continue, and we have a poor start, I wonder how committed he would be.

another scenario could be - mccarthy is sold, rovers struggle, and he bangs goals in for sunderland!

the decision is a difficult one.

I think if ince thought there was any chance of him regaining his form, he would keep hold of him.
