ewoodturf Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 What about Imogen or Rhiannon I think those are beautiful, unusual, interesting names.
cn174 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Clare!! Making sure you don't put an "I" in it or miss off the "E"
rebelmswar Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Emalith. My wife wouldnt agree though, had to settle on Gillian and Kerragan.
LeChuck Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Maybe this BBC News article from a few weeks ago can provide some influence?. On a more serious note, well done for abstaining from awful names like Taylor and Bailey.
Alan75 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Why not try the old indian way of naming a baby. Name her after the first thing you see outside after she is born. The old jokes are allways the best

Paul Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Personally I think "classic" names are the best. My personal favourites right now would be Sarah or Rebecca, and always use the full name, so Samantha should not be Sam. I would avoid modern names like Kylie etc. Also make sure you get the spelling right, once it's on the birth certificate the poor girl is stuck for life!
incy wincy little spider Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 That my birthday! Amy Sarah Kathryn Maria
Beta Ray Bill Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Margaret Hilda ? Well it does have a Rovers link...
roversmum Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Rose is very popular at the moment and it makes a nice second name too.
Rovermatt Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Molly, Aimee, Emily and Grace are on my list for potential female offspring.
Billy Castell Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Vansittard, Eva, Biscuit, Rosie, Kenneth, Tina, Froggie, Zebzeb-Flipper, Supermarket, Big Mac and chips, Nissan, Beamo, Jip Jip Nooga.

American Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I heard an interesting point about middle names - rarely do people use their middle name, and usually people don't know other people's middle names, so you can make them something interesting without scarring the kid for life.
b12_simon Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I heard an interesting point about middle names - rarely do people use their middle name, and usually people don't know other people's middle names, so you can make them something interesting without scarring the kid for life. I'm with my dad on this one - they're pointless. I'm glad I don't have one and if I ever have kids I won't saddle them with one either. One lad at our school was stuck with the name Alban for crying out loud. What were his folks thinking?
American Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Found it. Magician Penn Jillette's daughter's middle name is CrimeFighter: Jillette explained that his wife suggested they use "CrimeFighter" because she herself does not have a middle name, people do not generally know other people's middle names, and they might as well "have some fun with it".
dillo_dillo Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Very interesting topic! for me. --- So sorry Plastic Head. I'm really interesting how do English(speaker) give the name to children. 'cause, I often see "Same first name" people in English. I still don't meet and see same my first name person (sound and letters both, and fimily name + first name does)!! I think most of Japanese same does.
bodrum_blue Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Or name her after teh place she was conceived, eg "Bed" Bad idea - poor girl - fancy being called Stationary cupboard at work or kitchen table or Knee trembler against the lounge wall
