if any of you do look at the video, you will see why im excited about that alazinho chap. he is the one doing the tricks on the wing there :rolleyes:

It is easy journalism to call him the new Essien- both play for Ghana. The fact is that Essien and Obi are man mountains whereas this lad is a small terrier-like midfielder.

Encouraged by nicko saying Annan has done well in the trial and the LT suggesting we are about to sign him. I believe he could prove to be a very high quality addition.

Hughes wanted to sign him, but it was well before the ACN so he couldn't get a work permit. He's obviously held in high regard, but then so was MGP and no one turned scouts and interest levels into bids. I think we'll get him now. He would obviously like the move, we have the money and I think our interest is serious enough that we'll write the cheque.

I like him after seeing that video although didn't see many similarities with Essien except his colour and nationality, well not until the end and that photo of the two footed tackle... nice. Probably worth a gamble given the money we've now got from Bentley's transfer.

Looks like a really tenacious player from that video. I'm impressed. Although he was very small for a central midefielder. That never stopped Makelele being great mind.

How much is he costing? Surely it can't be much. £2m perhaps?
