I imagine Sam will be able to get data from previous seasons as well, so he could look at how Reid and Emerton performed in central midfield then if he wanted.

 and he will still be in the team on sunday :D:D:D

and rightly so. I think because he looks like the FA Cup we will have a better chance of winning it.

Not to mention he is bloody fantastic.

AND he's bloody ugly and runs like a girl, how about that?

Laughing here! B)

Going on holiday tomorrow so will miss a few matches........I know the thread will be in good hands though - it will still be the most popular on here when I get back. What a legend!

andrews shouldnt get anywhere near the first team when everyone is fit... no skill at all cant pass and cant shoot, usless...!

how is that tonyoz?

:D

What about the games against West Spam, 'ull and WBA, as well as the other team he scored against whose name eludes me at the minute.

Nah - I find it amusing that you think you know more than our manager when in fairness at least he gets to see the players in the flesh.

And your point is therefore .......managers make mistakes. QED Allardyce has made a mistake with Andrews. In other words you know more than Allardyce (albeit just when it comes to Andrews)? To be honest it's not rocket science so I'm surprised you find it so hard to follow.

OK. I'll stick my hand up, (Please don't use that word again) it. There are certain things that I'm now almost certain I know better than Sam about.

For a start, I knew that Jason Roberts up front on his own against Sylvain Distin and Joseph Yobo was going to struggle, without some pace in support (ie Hoillet). Sam apparently didnt know that.

I also knew that Chimbonda was showing way too much reliance on his right foot despite playing at left back, and this was likely to cause problems against a better side than Wolves. Sam apparently didnt know that either.

I also know that Keith Andrews is massively ineffective against decent midfielders in the Premier League. He's proven it many times.

Now, Sam either doesn't know these things, and therefore I know more than him, or he does know these things but he's chosing to ignore them and carry on being stubborn and arrogant. I honestly don't know which is worse.

My my, how did this drop to the second page?

So...first time since Sam took over that he's been able to choose a central midfield from a squad of fit players...and guess what...Andrews doesn't start!

What a surprise. <_<

Shame Grella's stupidity forced Andrews onto the pitch. And is Andrews now going to be replacing the suspended Grella? :(

To be fair, even most of his supporters don't think he should start when we have a fully fit squad.

But he did come on as a sub with a fully fit squad, so it shows you that he still has a place in Sam's squad if everyone is fit.

He probably would not have done if Grella hadn't got himself sent off.

The 'supporters' in my area (which is next to Sam) certainly let him know what they thought of it.

It willl be interesting to see who comes in. NZonzi owns his position now after that performance. He will play every game he is available for. So the other one is between Andrews, Grella and Reid. I personally would stick Emerton in there but Sam doesn't seem keen.

Has Sam played him in central midfield before, can't remember?

I try not to lambast Andrews too much but why he didn't have an attempt when brad was stranded baffles me, ever if he missed my a mile at least the thought would have been there

To be honest the amount of stick he gets probably played a part. He must know everyone hates him and it would make you hesitate in a situation like that because of the pressure.

Then in that case and to remedy the situation, why didnt he have a go ?

At least if he had tried he would have been seen to have a go rather than cock everything up.
