yellowsubmarine Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 At last- he got subbed off. That's something i'm most pleased with yesterday. And that why-did-i-get-sub-off look on his face was CLASSIC!
Kelbo Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Arguably the worst central midfield player in the league And beyond, is slow, cant head, cant pass and cant tackle!! I have just the job for him, my walls need someone who is good at pointing!!
Plastic Head Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Arguably the worst central midfield player in the league
1864roverite Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Arguably the worst central midfield player in the league There is NOTHING argumentative about it, he is simpy the worst ever player, even worse than Paul Shepstone, to pull on a Rovers shirt.
Kelbo Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 There is NOTHING argumentative about it, he is simpy the worst ever player, even worse than Paul Shepstone, to pull on a Rovers shirt. There was once one worse than Shepstone, Dewi Atherton, yet he was better than Andrews!!
dingles staying down 4ever Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 We'll get to see when pompey come to town Keith vs the Axe
JAL Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I shake my head when I see him in the starting line up. I refuse to clap him as he comes on the pitch as a sub. But I won't boo any player wearing a Rovers shirt. hr I can only assume Sam looks only at match stats when deciding his team. I'd like to know the stat for successful pass completion further than 10 yards. I think Andrews racks up points for making short sideways and backward passes to team mates. Granted he will make the odd Lampard-esque slide rule pass but more often than not his passing goes astray. At least from where I'm sat. Apologies for last night jisty, alchol and rage dont know why I let it get to me but I do. Totally in agreement with what you say, after seeing Andrews in the last three games, Allardyce just hasnt come out with any credit at all to have started him against Manchester United if Allardyce thought he could do a job against Man U then the fans are entitled to start thinking about who the next manager is going to be. At the end of the day many of the older Rovers fans have probably seen more hours of high class football than the proclaimed expert has.
47er Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 If we played 4-4-2 without Andrews it would be a stronger formation than 4-5-1-1 with him.At least we would have 11 players out there.
tonygreenbank Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 There is NOTHING argumentative about it, he is simpy the worst ever player, even worse than Paul Shepstone, to pull on a Rovers shirt. That is one hell of a statement! You must have a phenomenal memory! But why then do both Allardyce and Trappatoni continue to play him? I`m not going to pass judgement one way or the other because I`m not a professional player, coach or pundit but still am confused as to why such managers would choose to play him. He must be doing something right??

He must be doing something right?? I don't think he is the worst player to put on a Rovers shirt - what a ridiculous statement. However, he should be nothing more than a squad player - and I am prepared to give Sam the benefit of the doubt regarding his constant playing of Andrews until Emerton, Grella and Reid are fully fit. If he continues to play him in preference to anyone of those players - then I would be seriously concerned.

bigbrandjohn Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 There was once one worse than Shepstone, Dewi Atherton, yet he was better than Andrews!! A welsh international I believe
bigbrandjohn Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 There was once one worse than Shepstone, Dewi Atherton, yet he was better than Andrews!! The one missing autograph. maybe he couldn't write http://www.justcatnaps.com/collection/teamsblackburn.html
Majiball Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I have the solution to our Andrews dilemma. Get Salgado to give him a bell and tell him how exotic Lancashire is!!!!!!! Guti Available
Hughesy Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 The article says Guti has a problem with the current Real boss?? He will be gone before January anyway so he wont have to worry too much about him!! Cant see us getting him to be honest - although you never know with Sam and his ageing super-stars
tcj_jones Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 We'll get to see when pompey come to town Keith vs the Axe I am very, very tempted to make it up to Ewood simply to see this. The prospect of this 'contest' genuinely has me gripped.
neekoy Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I am very, very tempted to make it up to Ewood simply to see this. The prospect of this 'contest' genuinely has me gripped. Andrews loses the ball to Mokoena, Mokoena loses the ball to Andrews...repeat ad nauseam
JAL Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Andrews loses the ball to Mokoena, Mokoena loses the ball to Andrews...repeat ad nauseam Which one will wear stupid coloured boots that dont match their kit ? Maybe Andrews should wear a red nose to match his play.
Amo Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Pompey dropped Mokoena last week and won emphatically. This clash of the Titans may be postponed.
sam_rovers Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Moko is better than Keith... at least moko tackles (sometimes) and he went through a good patch with us for a very limited time... keith has done neither so far

He must be doing something right?? That statement is true, each and every word. And NO I suffer no alzheimers ! The only reason I can think of why both SA and Trap pick him is simply because there is NO other choice. I beg you to tell me WHAT IF ANYTHING Andrews brings to our team apart from weakening it !
thenodrog Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 comedy value? I've never heard anybody around me roar with laughter at some of Julie's contributions. I suggest and comedic value only applies to the opposition and their fans.... and I'd rather not see them happy!
jonv Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Moko is better than Keith... at least moko tackles (sometimes) and he went through a good patch with us for a very limited time... keith has done neither so far Andrews has scored some pretty important goals for us actually. He's also been one of the most versatile members of our squad and the most fittest. Get over the Andrews bashing its getting tiresome
