In his few minutes on he still managed to ###### me off when he gave the ball away near the touchline when we were comfortably hanging on to it.

If it's the bit I'm thinking about, he passed the ball to Roberts on the right wing who just stopped the flow of the attack and passed it back to him.

I'm not an Andrews fan but I don't see how you can criticise him for today

He got 2 touches and pointed 4 times. I'll give the guy a break this weekend.

Now, Plastic Head, you're doing the guy a great injustice...........he never stopped pointing, he did it dozens of times, much to the mirth of many sat around me!

He has mastered a whole new technique now. He points with both hands at two different people to mark 2 other people while standing on his own achieving sweet fanny adams. This was his best performance of the season so far. If only his entrance could have been delayed by, say, 8 1/2 minutes, it would have been better still.

I am sorry, I just cannot get my head around being positive when I see him wear the shirt of my club on his back and he enters the fray.

Maybe its an Ince thing but for me he simply will never be good enough.

I have been a footballer all my life and in Andrews we have a player who is the ULTIMATE ball watcher and NOT a footballer.

yes he can run but thats all he can do. That is the sum of his limitations and it is simply not enough.

Spot on 1864, I'm beginning to get fed up with Telegraph and their headlines trying to support the 'Dublin dud' by telling us hes this, and that, when he isnt anything except an Irishlad out of his depth.

Okay but people are getting fed up with people like you trying to undermind everything Andrews does.

He's a reliable squad player who gives his all every time he plays, He's not absolute sh*t but he's no world beater either.

Get off the lads back FFS.

I didn't watch Irelands game the other night - but one of the papers the day after gave Andrews an 8 for his performance. I'm assuming that was out of 10 rather than a percentage - but he was rated higher than all but one of the French players. Good Luck to him tonight!

after nearly 150 pages does this never end? What is there left to say that hasn't already been said. Let's just all go home and live with our differing opinions. Julie is part of the club, let's get used to it, support each player, no booing and just move on. Bloody Groundhog day.

If you have a painful puss-filled boil on your bum, you don't just get used to it, you complain to the doctor who hopefully makes it go away.

In this case, the doctor is Dr Allah Diese, and I will be complaining to him if this boil hasn't gone by Sunday.

And sometimes the boil is mearly a little spot and the doctor tells you to go home, not to bother him again and get on with life.

Not posted for a bit, but it appears that the lunatics have take over the asylum!

So what's happened then? Have all the Andrews detractors been proved right? If most people on here are right (worst player in the prem, worst to put on a Rovers shirt) then the following blatant contradictions need addressing:

1) Why has Andrews featured, and usually started, in every single competitive game so far for us this season, when there were clearly other options available?

2) Why wasn't he sold in the summer when Fulham came knocking, instead of being told he categorically wasn't for sale?

3) Why is he still featuring highly for the ROI, with Trappatoni even not risking him getting a yellow card so he would definitely be available for the play offs, again when there are clearly other options available?

4) Why does every match report, every single week, in every single paper, not notice this apparent poor quality? Take the Arsenal game for example; who was the villain and scored lowest - Andrews surely by a mile? Nope, afraid not, not this week, not in any paper - the funny thing is it's like that every week! Why?

What's going on then? Why are those who said he's a decent squad player being proved right and why are those who say he's diabolical being proved wrong? It's as if some people know football and some people don't

Incidentally, didn't we do well in the first half against Portsmouth with the usual formation when Andrews didn’t feature? Actually come to think of it we didn't did we - we were shockingly poor in fact. Funny I thought Andrews was the reason we were poor!

Trying isn't enough to be a Premier League player. I would try.

If he is in the team again tomorrow the boos will be for both him and the man responsible for him being there.

It's pretty clear that this is universally accepted as moronic behaviour.

Personally, if I shared the same viewpoint as a complete moron then I'd be questioning that viewpoint, especially if it flew in the face of all the professional opinion. Stupid is as stupid does I suppose though

So what your saying Super A is that as a Rovers fan I am not entitled to an opinion !

Get a grip and take a dose of reality medicine.

I can see he is useless like the man next to me (and even revidge now agrees). What I dont need is someone like your good self telling me to get off his back. If I want to I will. I clap him when he does something positive but alas this is only an odd occasion, I dont actually boo him (yet) but alas I will when the time is appropriate.

Oh yes, forgot to mention, I am not alone in my thoughts, read the rest of this thread and digest.

A very very good question which the manager should answer.

2) Why wasn't he sold in the summer when Fulham came knocking, instead of being told he categorically wasn't for sale?

Another very very good question that the board may be asking the manager soon.

3) Why is he still featuring highly for the ROI, with Trappatoni even not risking him getting a yellow card so he would definitely be available for the play offs, again when there are clearly other options available?

Ireland would be relegated from the Championship.

If you think football writers know anything about football you're dreaming. They have been picking the England side for 40 years and we have failed at every competition. They are lazy writers who aren't capable of getting a proper writing job and are only interesting in jollies and expense claims.

What's going on then? Why are those who said he's a decent squad player being proved right and why are those who say he's diabolical being proved wrong? It's as if some people know football and some people don't

Some who watch the game don't just (like Keith) follow the ball, but look where players stand as well.

Incidentally, didn't we do well in the first half against Portsmouth with the usual formation when Andrews didn’t feature? Actually come to think of it we didn't did we - we were shockingly poor in fact. Funny I thought Andrews was the reason we were poor!

We are a poor team who can't afford to carry a player like Andrews.

Lol, nice reasoned response - the hypothesis that the Andrews detractors are just complete morons grows ever stronger by the minute

Don't want to debate the points? Can't debate the points?

No, no it doesn't. The fact that you're a giant dick remains though.

No I don't want to debate the points, people on here have debated the points with you over and over and over again and you have been made to look silly again and again. Either you are incapable of reading, or you're too thick to understand what has already been said, about 400,000 times.
