Hughesy Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 If any of you had made a step up in football then you would be aware that it takes a little while to adjust your game to fit in. League 2 to Premier against Arsenal is a massive/ Huge jump. Against West Ham he did well, against one of the best in Europe he did OK. Give him time.

OscarRaven Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Second half vs. Arsenal and this fella was so out of his depth it was embarrassing. To make matters worse he jogs like a girl.
BRFC95 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Second half vs. Arsenal and this fella was so out of his depth it was embarrassing. To make matters worse he jogs like a girl. Why just pick on him, the whole performance was embarrassing, they all looked out of their depth.

We are also 1 win away from a champs league spot. It works both ways. No actually you are right..we dont have time.. so therefore we shouldnt sign anyone ever again..because we dont have time to let them get used to the league. I think il get saving for next years trip to Preston or Ipswich as that is where Abbey thinks we will be. Honestly you dont half talk some crap.
ABBEY Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 sorry hughsey..you say i talk crap...but to say we are close to a champions league spot is muppetesque to say the least .I bow to your superior knowledge.we are playing ace ,we will be a force bring on barca and i think it will a 31,000 sell out on saturday.

Two bad results, one bad performance. No need to go so OTT Abbs.
Hughesy Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 FACT abbey is that 3pts seperates us from 18th and 4th. Tell me where I was wrong in stating that we are 1 win away from 4th? Im not saying we are playing good/ infact not even half good, im just saying people need to be abit more patient and assess the situation a few more game in.
ABBEY Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Two bad results, one bad performance. No need to go so OTT Abbs. well if you think ,hull ,wham and arsenal is acceptable then thats yours and hughsey perogitive but i think its been pants so far and not good enough.
yorkblues Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 we look a very very poor team under ince and his best mate andrews, waht next andrews for captain
PLZ Blue Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport...l_born_winner_/ I am sure everyone here has seen this. Of course he thinks Ince is the dogs b*ll*cks.

Of course he thinks Ince is the dogs b*ll*cks. The PR dept at BRFC should never have allowed that interview to happen yet whilst the jury is still so obviously out on Andrews (and Ince). The LT chose to put it on haordings outside every newsagents in the area yesterday.
rovgers Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Why not? the interview is his opinions on Ince's management skills and as he played under him at MK, he is the player with the most knowledge on the subject.
CrazyIvan Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 The PR dept at BRFC should never have allowed that interview to happen yet whilst the jury is still so obviously out on Andrews (and Ince). The LT chose to put it on haordings outside every newsagents in the area yesterday. Why not indeed? Why should the club not allow a fair and straight forward article from a new player about his manager and someone he knows more about than anybody else? What is so wrong in that? Is it because it doesn't fit in with the idea that everyone should be negative until Ince proves himself? I think you've outdone yourself with the twisted logic in this one.
joey_big_nose Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Am I alone in thinking Andrews has done quite well. Looked better than 5-6 players for ROvers on the pitch against Arsenal and West Ham. Reid, Nelsen, Samba, Pedersen, Warnock, Robinson are all causing me more worry than this fella. Still don't eactly think he is going to rock the world, and we should have been looking for better, but in context not a bad signing so far. Sad we have to use his as a first teamer rather than a subsititute though.

I can see Gordon's point on this one, someone like RSC praising Ince might have had most people thinking "If he's good enough for Roque, he's good enough for me!" (Well maybe not tnr, Jan and T4e ) Andrews or Fowler praising Ince to the rafters might cause a cynical reaction seeing as some people consider it was merely an "Old pals act" bringing them in in the first place.

That actually is wrong. The points have to go somewhere and although I can't be bothered to work the whole thing out to the last minute detail, I don't think there is any mathematical possiblity of us being 4th after Saturday's game.

In context any player playing alongside Reid in the centre of the park is going to struggle. If he had got on the end of the cross when we were one down he now would have been a hero instead of a zero. The problem is with or without him there is a severe lack of class in centre of midfield. If we had better players to play alongside him he may look better.
waggy Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 just had a arguement in the bookies with a rovers fan who said andrews was ######,i said was he the worst player in the team he said no!,end of arguement

allrovertheworld Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Just got back from the game today, Andrews played well. I think he should continue to start. Good simple football, only saw him give the ball away once. I think this guy is getting some stick on here that he doesn't deserve. I am alot happier with him on the ball than the likes of Reid and the axe. I hope he settles and starts to get some goals and wish him all the best.
American Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Quick question for most: Would Andrews be acceptable if he were here to be an occasional fill-in? From the sounds of it, he did decently the first half of the Arsenal match, and I was wondering if he was woeful the second half because we had to press being so far behind? Was never expecting him to take the Premiership by storm, but was expecting spot starts and cup matches (much like Mokoena). If he should have been brought in at his age is another argument for R6 and Den.

What I don't understand, is why you're having a go at the PR team for an article in the LT. When he was being interviewed by the LT about Ince, maybe he should have told them to ask RSC because the fans like RSC more!!
