Hughesy Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 13.44 Speculation is mounting over the future of Fabian Delph amid reports Aston Villa are poised to make a £6million bid for the Leeds United youngster. Sell KA - And get this boy in. Star in the making and a good age so that we can sell on for big profits in a few seasons.

Plastic Head Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I've been reading through this thread and I'm really, really, really confused. Andrews is rubbish isn't he? Absolutely any fool who knows anything about football knows that. Why is Roy Hodgson interested in him then? I just can't understand it. In Roy Hodgson's first full season Fulham finished 7th - that's quite high in the premier league isn't it? You'd think Roy therefore knows a bit about football. Why would he possibly want a player who is absolutely no way good enough for the premier league then, even as a squad player? The bloke is a championship player at best. It just doesn't make any sense. Let's not ask any questions..... MK didn't tell us he was sh!te before we bought him did they?
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 According to the BBC: 1336 BST: Blackburn officials have told Fulham that Republic of Ireland international Keith Andrews is not for sale. Rovers admit rebuffing an approach from the Cottagers, but deny any official bid was received. (Press Association) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/g...ers/8141642.stm

Perhaps Hodgson and his scouts have a blinkered view of Andrews compared to the regulars who watched him week in week out?
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 It always interesting to read what fans from other clubs think about your players. They are talking about Fulham's interest in Andrews on Redcafe (United website): http://www.redcafe.net/f9/fulham-keith-andrews-257557/

Am shocked rovers have turned down an offer - unless we're trying to max what we get for him. Never thought we would get any offers for him. How Andrews would fit into to a passing side like Fulham is a mystery to me. Maybe Hodgson is feeling a tad guilty over signing one of the above.
Mr. E Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Of all the players in all the seasons we've let go, Andrews most definitely is not one worth holding on to.

He's being charitable to Rovers by taking Keith off our hands - it's so flipping obvious that I'm kicking myself now that I didn't realise. What do you think his chairman will think of this squandering of his money though do you think? And what about Rovers saying they want to keep Keith? That's the doubly mysterious part isn't it. Let's recap: First Sam picking him consistently to start vital matches. Then picking him to play him out of position over supposedly better players in vital matches. Then we have Trappatoni consistently picking him to play in vital matches. Now we have an experienced and successful manager putting a bid in for the lad. And then we have Rovers turning down bids and saying he's not for sale. (that's over and above the stat's and the match reports of course) Now we all know Keith is rubbish - any fool with half a brain can see that. The problem we have though is we have to keep on making excuse after excuse after excuse every time something like this this comes up which points to him not being that bad after all - sometimes the excuses have to be ridiculous as well. It's bloody annoying isn't it!
tcj_jones Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 No, your constant sarcasm and repeating of the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is what's bloody irritating. You've made your point, just leave it, PLEASE.

It just doesn't make any sense. It does make sense jonnolad, Woy took us to sixth spot in his first season then relegated us. Thats the wonder of Woy, now it could very much be Fulhams turn to repeat history if Woy intends to go for KA.
bellamy11 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 But I'm agreeing with you now though about Andrews being rubbish. Jeez - there's no pleasing some people I like Keith Andrews. I think he is a valuable member of the squad. But reading you continually repeating the same thing makes me want to go out and shoot him so that this doesn't have to happen any more. We know what you think. There's no reason for you to waste valuable time of your life repeating the same things again. Go and enjoy the sunshine.

I would but it's not sunny You'll never see me posting on a sunny day - I can categorically guarantee that! Besides which if people are going to keep on spouting that Andrews is dire, then what's the problem in pointing out the obvious flaws in their opinion. Surely you should be berating people for having a pop at Andrews rather than someone who is actually sticking up for one of our players - especially one of our players who most people agree has been unjustifiably given a hard time by our fans. I don't see you doing that though.
tcj_jones Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 You know the fair ground ride where people are given a mallet to hit the little moles that poke out of the holes and make a really irritating noise? Well, you're like one of those moles. You just keep on coming back and more annoying than ever.

Well, you're like one of those moles. You just keep on coming back and more annoying than ever. I'm guessing that the most annoying thing is that you actually know I'm right though That must really really get your goat.
T4E Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I'm guessing that the most annoying thing is that you actually know I'm right though That must really really get your goat. Do you know that you've now posted 94 times on this thread? Thats the most of any poster. 94 times on a thread about Keith Andrews. Thats just weird.
LeChuck Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Do you know that you've now posted 94 times on this thread? Thats the most of any poster. 94 times on a thread about Keith Andrews. Thats just weird. I hope Den doesn't read that.
Tris Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Do you know that you've now posted 94 times on this thread? Thats the most of any poster. 94 times on a thread about Keith Andrews. Thats just weird. Den has also posted 94 times on this thread ... does that make Den weird as well? If Fulham have actually enquired about Andrews, and BFS has sent them away, it says quite a lot. It also suggests a lot of Rovers fans are going to get very grumpy, because if he was only earmarked to be a bit part player next season, I'm sure that BFS would take the cash and use it elsewhere.
T4E Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Den has also posted 94 times on this thread ... does that make Den weird as well? A little Den's first post on this thread was on the very first page, almost a year ago. Jonno unfortunately cannot say the same. He's posted 9 times today - 4 of them on this thread. 5 of them on the Transfer thread. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS ABOUT KEITH ANDREWS! Its scary stuff.
tcj_jones Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 It's pretty clear: he's in love with Keith Andrews.
den Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Den has also posted 94 times on this thread ... does that make Den weird as well? Maybe not so much weird, as sad. There's got to be more to life than this - don't you think Tris?
spencey7 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Hang on, hang on, hang on. We had the chance to offload a POOR player, for MONEY, to a Premier League rival - And we didn't take it?? I'm more convinced than ever that Sam doesn't have a f****** clue what he's doing.
