Lol, you clearly haven't read any of my posts at all

I would be surprised if anyone can be bothered to read any of your tripe.

Why are you still harping on about Andrews ?

Are you ill ?

Well, you quoting me proves you clearly can for one

Nothing to actually add to the debate other than insults I notice as well. Run out of any genuine input perchance? Why bother posting would be the obvious question.

This is a daft thread. Some (not many  )see Andrews as the new Zidane whilst others see him as a hate figure to be derided at every opportunity. Truth is that last season with a fully fit squad he would not be on the pitch, but at times last season we were damned grateful for his contributions.

As as a lower squad member he's just about OK. If I don't see him starting a match or if somebody else wants to buy him I won't be overly bothered either way but until then we need to lay off him. Confidence is half the battle for most footballers and some of the comments on here are shameful to a lad who whilst not the most naturally talented does at least turn up and put in a full shift when required ..... unlike some of his more 'respected' team members.

I don't think that there is much more to be said than has not already been said.

Someone get me a chair...I actually agree with this post.

Nail hit on the head I think.

Apologies for picking up on a minor point before there thenodrog because I personally think you have actually summed things up well there overall :rover:

Although I'd probably rate his ability slightly higher than you - not that much mind before anyone thinks I'm suggesting that Man City are gonna be in for him or something!

Why bother posting would be the obvious question.

Why bother indeed, when you ignored my previous questions as to why you are so obsessed with an average footballer.

In case you have reading difficulties, here they are again.

1. You are his agent.

2. You are his love-child.

3. You are romantically involved.

4. You owe him money.

5. You have buried his wife under the patio.

6. You are his financial adviser and invested his earnings in a Ponzi scheme.

7. You are Irish.

8. You like watching poor footballers.

9. You are clinically insane.

10. A combination of some or all of the above.

I look forward to your comments.

Blah blah blah

I look forward to your comments.

Sorry, you're going on ignore because this is tedious and insulting to the rest of us who would rather have (and read) adult conversations.

Thankyou, thenod. Now we're all agreed, Mods please close this thread.

As previously stated, just put him on ignore.

It's one thing to have a point of view, quite another to repeat essentially the same points ad nauseum - which is only ever going to wind people up.

Yes, he's suddenly playing for Ireland and Blackburn. But his late emergence as a top flight flight player has little to do with a late blossoming of talent, and a hell of a lot more to do with being picked by default because there are no better options. It's alright saying Trap thinks he's Maradona and Sam thinks he's Pele, but how about the 20 top flight managers who didn't think he was good enough for the last 10 years? Or does that argument only count one way?

To make your debut in top flight football at the age of 28 (and against Arsenal, to boot), you can count yourself very lucky.

Premiership player? Yes, indubitably by virtue of the fact that he's playing in the Premiership.

Talented player? Absolutely not.

Wasn't Nelsen almost 28 when he made his top flight debut (I don't count MLS as top flight, even as an American)?

I think his emergence has more to do with his strengths being appreciated and weaknesses being worked around than anything else, and having talent around him that his grit was able to compliment.

There are a lot of players who aren't naturally talented who have made a good career (enter Beckham joke here).

Good grief Gord, have you suddenly fallen in love with Andrews lol. Have you been drinking? You certainly got your post about Andrews spot on. However knowing some on here, its still not good enough when it comes to Andrews.

I didn't ignore your previous question before; I actually answered it before - directly quoting you in fact. Here is the answer I gave:

I'm not obsessed with Andrews. It's just that I don't mind speaking up for people, especially our own players, who I think are being unjustly prejudiced, even if it goes against the majority (from a psychological perspective why not have a think about our differing positions on this one and see what it says about our respective personalities).

I can only assume you can't understand what I'm saying here. I'd definitely have a good think about it though, especially the part in brackets, because believe me, you aren't looking very good here at all. I'll spell it out more simplistically for you if you’re struggling.

This is obviously getting silly though. People, quite rightly, don't want to be reading some daft tangential crap. Can I therefore suggest that if you have nothing more to add than childish nonsense, then it's surely best that you don't post.
