AggyBlue Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 He went to a game in which KA played, saw KA features regularly for Rovers, looked at our current league position and concluded there was good value in the long odds against us going down. KA was that good on Saturday! You didn't bother to tell him that, injuries to other players permitting, he won't feature as a starter. Nice one

Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Id just like to say that one of the main complaints critics in Ireland have about the national team is how week the centre midfield is!! Dont get me wrong, Andrews has done OK as he has done for Rovers but the underlying fact is that he just is not good enough!! Ireland lack the ability to control the game & that stems from an inept centre midfield with a pairing of Andrews & Glen Whelan. The styles of play that Trapatoni encorporates enables the wide men push forward & dictate play while most of the game passes centre midfield by. This has worked for Ireland & got us results but has not shown Andrews to be a world class player, i like the guy & i like that he is at rovers but would hope he is never again cosidered a first team player!! Presumably you therefore think that Sam is only playing him because there really is no other option - Keith is a kind of 4th or 5th choice midfielder. Consequently do you therefore think that when he is playing, the fans should: a) get 110% behind him? or berate him for any misplaced pass or tackle, no matter how small, and certainly more than they would berate other players?
tcj_jones Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 And you're a gimp with issues. Finally, an accurate post! I take it you met at the weekly gimp convention? HEADLESS CHICKENS - WHAT HAVE WE COME TO? SAVAGE WAS BAD ENOUGH. Eh? Savage was an absolutely integral part of Hughes's side and one of the most valuable and under-rated players Rovers have had over the past five - six seasons. What I'd give to have Savage back now.
Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I take it you met at the weekly gimp convention? If they had one you'd be a regular guest speaker.

broadsword Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 If they had one you'd be a regular guest speaker. Give it a rest, eh? Not that this debate has been going anywhere for the last 100 pages, but it's descending to a new level of nonsense now.
G Somerset Rover Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Give it a rest, eh? Not that this debate has been going anywhere for the last 100 pages, but it's descending to a new level of nonsense now. I'm sure that should Keith come on here he'd be mightily impressed that he's racked up over 110 pages discussing his 'ability'.
Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Sorry Jonno, didn't catch that... I said your mums a crap #### Unfortunately she did say you were without doubt the ultimate supreme gimp though ("truly a gimp amongst gimps" were her exact words).
Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I take it none of the Andrews detractors fancy answering my question: If you think that Sam is only playing him because there really is no other option, do you therefore think that when he is playing, the fans should: a: get 110% behind him? or b: berate him for any misplaced pass or tackle, no matter how small, and certainly more than they would berate other players?

What are you gabbling about Jonno?
Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 What are you gabbling about Jonno? Was the question a bit difficult for you? Do you want me to re-write it using smaller words? Is it percentages that are causing you problems? Don't worry it's not a maths question. I choose a) Jonno. Funnily enough I'd always choose a) too. I was therefore interested in other fans opinion - although surprisingly the question seems to be a little bit difficult for some.

Don't worry it's not a maths question. Bloody 'ell - again? OK Jonno, I'll go b] as well as MeanGreenMachine. Looks like stupid season is upon us again. Get the Wolves preview up for goodness sake.
Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 b cos he is cack Apologies if this question has already been answered but, which team was it you said you supported again?
alexanders Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 The thing Jonnolad is trying to do is trying to get people to understand that wehen you support a team you should get behind all the players and support them. You want the best for the team, buy giving a player stick and destroying his confidence you hurt the team as well.
Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Bloody 'ell - again? OK Jonno, I'll go b] as well as MeanGreenMachine. God forbid, if a tragedy were to occur involving our first team (coach crash on the M6, plane hijack on their way to one of Sam's bonding sessions in Tenerife, poison gas attack at Brockhall by a fanatical Burnley fan, whatever) and players from the academy had to step up to the mantle, do you think the best thing we could do as fans would be to berate any mistakes on their part? Do you think that would help them win matches?
MeanGreenMachine Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Apologies if this question has already been answered but, which team was it you said you supported again? Ah right, cos i think andrews is tripe and him being on the pitch gives any opposing team an advantage makes me a dingle. You could stick any run of the mill league one player ahead of andrews and you would not tell the difference. He runs around alot but fails to tick any of the basics you expect a premiership midfielder to do.
thenodrog Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 PS. Add a couple of noughts or even a third one when that guy makes a serious punt. Gosh! Don't you have some well heeled friends gunner. I'm very impressed. Does he not fancy buying the club? It'd be good foer you cos finally your insider knowledge might become valid.

Answer: a: How do you get 110% behind anything? b: Congratulations - you are a fully paid up Riversider!

Jonnolad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Ah right, cos i think andrews is tripe and him being on the pitch gives any opposing team an advantage makes me a dingle. No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is: If you reckon Keith is only there because there is truly no other option available to our manager, then surely as a fan you should be getting absolutely behind this player 110% on match day - by your rationale he needs your support more than other players since he's ordinarily a 4th a 5th choice. By vocally berating him, especially based on your own opinion of him only being there by default, you really are giving an advantage to the opposition. Ever heard the phrase "12th man" - it seems we have a "minus 1 man" with our support instead. a: How do you get 110% behind anything? You really did think this was a maths question
MCMC1875 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Perhaps he could become a 'Z' list celeb and go in the Jungle on 'I'm a celebrity' ?
