Plastic Head Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Axe started 8 Prem games and came on 10 times for Hughes last season and I can't remember such hostility toward the manager then... I wouldn't have picked him mesell though. Vogel would have been a better option. Clearly we are struggling on the right as well. 3-2.

Bobby G Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I believe Nicko was misinformed about one or two players to be missing as only Emo is out...
Doaksie Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Not many attacks coming down the right hand side today then with the Ouija Board © and Reidinho. I think we could be very effective on the left though with Warnock and a rejuvinated Gamst, and Arteta likes cutting inside for them on the right.
frosty Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I believe Nicko was misinformed about one or two players to be missing as only Emo is out... Maybe Vogel too.
Mozzer Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 i think david dunn could be key for blackburn today.. reid isnt a right winger-but to be honest theres not many other options that we could have done-he will do a job, and will help back and defend..
Mr. E Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Happy to see Ooijer starting, but oh my word that midfield makes me cry.
G Somerset Rover Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Incey was on the Beeb earlier and said that we are looking for a direct Bentley replacement. Looking at that midfield we could have desperately done with that person today as Reidy is now an average central midfielder at best, let alone right winger. I'm still feeling optimistic though, so I'll go with a late prediction of: Everton 1 Rovers 2
bigbrandjohn Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Trust the process. Everyone starts again with a new manager and confidence if everything . The Axe played some solid football when hughes gave him a run. He has picked the team for the game .
BRFC1995 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Andrews may just improve that midfield. Reid, dunn and moko are squad fillers at best....................crying out for a touch of class in midfield. defence bar robinson looks strong, but i really wish derbyshire was picked ahead of roberts, can't wait to see picture of the bench, see how far away from villenueva everyone is sitting.

Doaksie Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Quick prediction - first Prem goal of the day to be at Goodison. Gut feeling. Stick my neck out and go for the Roque to get it too.

sambo Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 They're playing a 17 year old debutant today, so a good chance to get a few goals!

Doaksie Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I fancy Nasri. Want a late bet? A good point, well made. Is that egg I can taste on my face. You get my point though.

DeadlyDirk Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 2-1 Rovers, Roque and Dunny, hope we get to see a glimpse of King Carlos as well!
