1225: Paul Ince has revealed Blackburn's move for Robbie Fowler is not completely dead in the water, despite the striker suggesting that he would not be signing a deal at Ewood Park, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Does this still seriously need paper space???

I know Nicko denied reports yesterday but someone on 606 is claiming to have seen Kanga Akale in the Dunkenhalgh with some guy in Blackburn training gear with the initials MK. His has done his research and found pictures etc so is now pretty sure it was Akale. He claims he is not winding us up but I know 606 is not the most reliable of sources so I just wondered if there was anything in this? Nicko, could you clear this up?

1245: Newcastle have been told by Rosenborg that a bid of £6million for Per Ciljan Skjelbred would secure the midfielder's services, according to the Evening Chronicle.

Is he still on our radar???

I sincerely doubt it.

No real connection beyond his agent spouting off.

Why would he be in the Dunkenhalgh? Usually away teams stay there - Hull did last week. Probably why they did so well against, maybe they went native in Rishton.

If Rovers had anyone in on trial staying over, tell your pap mates to hang around the Avenue @ Brockhall. Samba, Nelsen, Spanish goalie etc all stay/stayed there whilst on trial.

Sorry been at a pie factory in Wigan all morning...no, seriously I have.

Makes me smile that getting Andrews right all along seems to be 'over-doing it' on that front.

Still waiting on a couple of posters stepping forward to take a pie-ing of another type.

No word on any other moves.

I would think a push for Ireland might be successful. There is no way Man City can be paying those wages and that money without departures.

And, by the way, Rovers watched Kadlec on Tuesday, he was obviously available, for any other smart asses out there.

Which is why SWP can make it into the England squad where as Andrews cant make it into the Republic squad?

What does that prove? Lennon made the England squaad as well and he cant cross to save his life. Grow up a bit and give Andrews a chance. Make a judgement once you have actually seen him play a few games.

How many details of Man City's financial problems do you need?

I think I said last wekeend that Shinawatra is doing a deal to bring in money - ideally as a partnership or to take over.

You will find out shortly what they have done and who it is.

Perhaps, of course, they found a money tree.

Man City's owner can't get his hands on his dough. Bills were proving a major problem.

Look at the Garry Cook interview again and you will see what was happening and how they planned to get out of it.

In the course of the last few days they have suddenly started throwing it about.

Paying SWP £80,000-a-week is very serious and real money.

Thaksin's mob think they have closed a deal with a wealthy backer...they must have or else they could not take on these commitments.

Money doesn't just appear.

Two months ago City had to borrow money to pay comp for your old manager...now they have enough to do the SWP deal.

So their circumstances have changed radically...you will find how pretty soon.

Any info on this Nicko?

Blackburn Rovers have made an approach for the 27 year old Espanyol player Valmiro Lopes Rocha -more commonly known as Valdo.

Valdo

From article about him:

He was signed by Osasuna in 2002 and went on to spend several injury hit seasons playing for the Pamplona based club

Yes! Buy him! Buy him now!

Sounds like another Javier de Pedro type player to me! <_<
