How many details of Man City's financial problems do you need?

I think I said last wekeend that Shinawatra is doing a deal to bring in money - ideally as a partnership or to take over.

You will find out shortly what they have done and who it is.

Nicko, bearing in mind the adage regarding how information flows in a dictatorship 'those who speak do not know and those who know do not speak', why is so little coming out from City right now?

There must be plenty, like yourself who know what's happening but prefer to keep quiet.

Do City need to sell players, if so have they any buyers lined up and would Rovers be in with decent shout for any City players other than Ireland?

I'd also be interested to know how strong is the Chelsea connection becoming at City and how much influence does Zehavi have at City?

Two deals for Chelsea players in the past few weeks (including a defender they don't appear to need suggests quite a lot).

Also Avraham Grant was touting himself for a coaching role in England in last Friday's Jerusalem Post. Given the Zehavi influence referred to above, would you foresee the possibility of Grant being brought in at City in a role similar to what he had at Portsmouth?

I think I know who is putting the money into Man City...but you can't be sure.

Man City is now a private company. They don't have to disclose who is giving them the dough or what they are getting in return.

The Premier League SHOULD take an interest but they don't.

I will try to confirm the details some time soon, but it's a hard job.

The fact is City are spending money now when they were skint not so long ago. Accelerating their TV money will NOT cover that.

Shinawatra is running it his way, pulling in favours.

So frankly their new money could be coming from anywhere.

That is the way the Premier League is these days.

We should not even be surprised at this kind of behaviour any more.

I've got my suspicions <_< ........

'The man who helped to introduce Roman Abramovich and Alexandre Gaydamak to Chelsea and Portsmouth respectively, and someone whom Joorabchian relied on heavily to grease the wheels of business at Upton Park. “There are always Premiership clubs looking for investment and I am always talking to people, rich people, who would like to get involved,” Zahavi said'

Would not surprise me to hear Chelsea getting first option on the likes of Richards and Johnson, whilst City become their feeder club in the mould of Portsmouth.......

Incidentally, isn't it odd that dad Arcadi Gaydamak's belt tightening and alleged financial difficulties in Israel has coincided with the purse strings being suddenly tightened by son Sasha 'I made all my money myself on the Russian stock market'' Gaydamak at Portsmouth <_<

There is always the Championship loan route when their window re-opens.

nicko: do you have any other news from blackburn? other news than @#/? andrews..

Been sidetracked a bit today...so nothing to report.

I think a right winger is a necessity as some clubs around you are suddenly looking a bit stronger.

Man City [with cash] and Aston Villa [with Milner if they get him] may have an edge at the moment.

Sorry, been out all day, so havn't had chance to keep up wth what has gone on...

so, sorry if these have been asked;

Nicko, do you know who the 3 Prem clubs are, in for Hendrick Larsson & the 7 clubs in for Walter Pandiani are? (2 teams for Pandiani quoted to be West Ham and Fulham).

Thanks.

secondly; Admin, when are you putting the "find member's posts" function back on again...? it takes forever to find Nicko's posts from earlier when they havn't been updated in the other thread.

cheers.

BENNI - Loose talk about West Ham. Have my doubts. Won't pay the money Rovers want or even the cash Sunderland would have paid. Chance gone.

FOWLER - Sounds like the cash on offer is less than Cardiff were prepared to pay him. Some politicking going on here.

ZABALETA - Sparky liked him - as we know - but why another right back? Oh, I forgot, it's Man City...so anything is possible.

CASTILLO - The agent doing the deal to Everton said he refused to train when he came on trial. Now that's just a lie. Any sympathy for him has gone slightly out of the window.

LARSSON - No idea, but you have get past Mrs Larsson first if you want him to come back to England.

PANDIANI - Frankly, who cares?
