FOWLER - Sounds like the cash on offer is less than Cardiff were prepared to pay him. Some politicking going on here.

Nicko, is Fowler still training with Rovers or has he taken his bat and ball home in a huff?

BENNI - Loose talk about West Ham. Have my doubts. Won't pay the money Rovers want or even the cash Sunderland would have paid. Chance gone.

FOWLER - Sounds like the cash on offer is less than Cardiff were prepared to pay him. Some politicking going on here.

ZABALETA - Sparky liked him - as we know - but why another right back? Oh, I forgot, it's Man City...so anything is possible.

CASTILLO - The agent doing the deal to Everton said he refused to train when he came on trial. Now that's just a lie. Any sympathy for him has gone slightly out of the window.

LARSSON - No idea, but you have get past Mrs Larsson first if you want him to come back to England.

PANDIANI - Frankly, who cares?

Do you think the club have put their foot down on this one and gave Ince the choice of either Andrews or Fowler?

Thanks! :tu:

Benni is a spent force, time to go! i'd snap any clubs hand off for £4m but even then i'd feel i was ripping someone off. Between now and janurary we are probably gonna give him a million in wages, he just needs to be gotten off the books and replaced with someone who really has ambitions!

Pity the whammers ain't got anyone worth swapping!

I think I know who is putting the money into Man City...but you can't be sure.

Man City is now a private company. They don't have to disclose who is giving them the dough or what they are getting in return.

The Premier League SHOULD take an interest but they don't.

I will try to confirm the details some time soon, but it's a hard job.

The fact is City are spending money now when they were skint not so long ago. Accelerating their TV money will NOT cover that.

Shinawatra is running it his way, pulling in favours.

So frankly their new money could be coming from anywhere.

That is the way the Premier League is these days.

We should not even be surprised at this kind of behaviour any more.

How much,if any, of this kind of behaviour is legal? Smacks of a totalitarian state ways of doing things. Why is the EPL, or the FA not getting involved?

If Rovers had anyone in on trial staying over, tell your pap mates to hang around the Avenue @ Brockhall. Samba, Nelsen, Spanish goalie etc all stay/stayed there whilst on trial.

Wasn't Flitty nearly on trial after staying at the Avenue? ;)

His agent has made him look bad by saying Castillo didnt want to train with us? Doesnt make sense, why would he do that?

No, he is claiming he wasn't turned down by Rovers after two days training when in fact he was.

Officially suspicious of the whole thing now.

With Nene, looks like there's at least 4 clubs after him. I'd put that down to Nicko's rule. Agent trying to get a sale?

In a nutshell Fife: money.

Why is is Mohammed Al-Fayad considered not fit and proper to qualify for a British passport yet is allowed to own Fulham and Harrods?

Really? I wish I could prove that; or even be able to point to some circumstantial evidence, then I would take it up with my MP who just happens to be the PM at the moment.

Well documented Fife: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7248639.stm

As Abramovich sagely noted, if you are in trouble back home, buy a 'Great' British insitution and the Establishment will protect you.

Don't forget he (Fayed) openly boasted about bribing certain Conservative MP's back in the '90's. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/525981.stm

Why would the FA worry about the Thai fugitive?

is the pinto lad still with us, just watching his vids on youtube and he's really not looking that great to be honest. On the other hand watched the ivica olic vids and the guy is a superstar, is there even a possibility - i'd hate to think the fact that we can't shift benni would stop us improving the team. If you judge players by youtube though after watching le tiss's 10 greatest goals about 5 times i'm of the opinion we should break the bank to bring him out of retirement :P

Nicko, how many days take you 'come down' after the transfer window ends? Just got a mental picture of you with pencils up your nose like in Blackadder, saying 'wibble', with all the toing-and-froing. Could be worse - you could be the Man City correspondent. What one reason do you offer as to why this window has been crackers? Is it cos clubs haven't as much cash, and there's more brinksmanship & horse-trading?

i know several players at rosenborg, and they have said that the skjelbred links are bull, even tough rosenborg might be willing to sell at the right price as reported. and i believe that he would choose newcastle because that is the club he supported as a child.

Think the best thing the establishment did was to get Momo on the Ali G show, he did a better job of self-inflicted character assassination than any spin doctor ever could. He has been amusing ever since the Paris underpass incident though with his stories; just waiting for him to join David Icke and say the royal family are really lizards; preposterous really, we all know there some hoss in there.

Nicko, according to norwegian news was a Blackburn scout at Lerkendal and saw Rosenborg - Djurgården.

Any truth in that??

Watching Per Ciljan Skjelbreid or anybody else??

Because what is being suggested here or hinted at is corruption in high places; palms being greased etc. The basic rules of conduct for the game of Football are being not just ignored, but deliberately treated with the utmost contempt. If it's true and can be proved I would expect (and love) to see all the culprits shot at dawn, or realistically jailed for a very long time. This kind of thing is ruining our game of Football and turning the whole thing into a complete farce in which we, the paying public, are treated not just with contempt, but rather as complete idiots.
