Not a RW, But what a player(LW Pederson) just released By Ajax.

To be fair he has had a few injury problems in the last 18 months though.

Still only 23.

I don't understand all this negativity towards the possible purchase of Pennant. The Pennant who was at Leeds and Birmingham would be an amazing signing. He showed at both those clubs just how good a player he can be with regular football. I would be overjoyed if we signed him and devastated if we end up letting him go to somewhere like Stoke.

Must admit if the fee is around the 5mill mark, it would be a loss, and then to see him ripping our left side to pieces. :o

Like West Ham did yesterday?

I've said this before and i'll say it again. Our goal scoring is not a problem. Wehave scored 9 goals in 4 games which isn't bad. We need to sort the bloody defence out! every single one of our defender has cost us a goal this season and we've only played 4 games!!

Warnock - Yesterday and Everton (second goal).

Ooijer- Hull and played a part in Evertons second when he went AWOL

Nelsen - Silly defending yesterday for Davenports goal and Carlton cole had him in his back pocket. Muscled him out the way as if he wasn't there.

Samba - Poor clearance yesterday cost us another goal.

This defence needs sorting out QUICKLY!

Looks like your corluka story is correct Nicko, as according to City fans he chucked his shirt in the crowd today and looked sad as he was the last person to walk off the pitch giving city fans one last wave. Is he going to spurs or could we nick in and get him.

..So apparently even Hull are willing to throw £7 million at a player (Campbell), this transfer window is becoming embarrassing. Players like SWP, Joaquin and probably Pennant would be worth a good 12-15 points with their goals and assists. For Christ's sake Rovers, stop peeing about with mediocre squad players and buy 2 players that will IMPROVE what we have and replace the TALENT we lost (Bentley).

As some have said its like selling Duff and Dunn all over again (and Shearer for that matter) do we never learn?

You can't win um all, but I don't think ha has been as solid since his lay off last season

I agree with you, it was evident from around Christmas time last season.That is why Worthington was brought in, I beleive, Its probably to early to show much input yet. If ever.

It may well be that come January Ince may be looking for change.

but with 1 day to go in the transfer window, people are bound to want to know news on what other clubs are upto, on the last day too.

PENNANT has been clear to talk to Stoke for a few days...the price was £5-5.5 million as part of a double deal with Sami Hyypia...although the signing of Sonko suggests Hyypia is not going.

That's actually a perfectly fine price if you ask me, we should get in. Stoke can hardly compete with us for him if we want him can they.

Anyway back on topic. Nicko do you think that Rovers are willing to get rid of Ooijer in the part exchange for Holman. If so have we got anyone lined up to replace him this late on in the window.

Is it only me that thinks Ooijer is our best centre half and should be playing there?

I totally agree he is our best defender but he's in his last year of contract and if he was to go i'd like to see us play
