Moorey Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 The Jeffers story is just one of many bogus tales doing the rounds today...ignore. I was talking about Steven Thompson.

nicko Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I was talking about Steven Thompson. You're right about Thompson, but a bit harsh on the donkey reference.
MWGR2 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. I live in Beijing and it is nearly midnight. I need to go to bed. Please sign a right winger Incey. This is very upsetting. I have had my fingers crossed for Pennant ever since the rumours started a few months ago. Contrary to what most people seem to believe on here, he not only has pace, but can actually put in fine crosses. Not Valdo, no. We need pace. No chance for Joaquim (spelling?), who would never be able to adapt to Blackburn life, and no interest in Kightly, so Pennant is really the one we should be crossing our fingers for. I will get to work an hour early tomorrow to read the happenings. I have a horrible day at work tomorrow which will be made unbearable if Ince doesn't sign Pennant. Please. Please. Please.
AussieinUk Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I am not being difficult but it seems that you find it very difficult to accept other peoples opinion on here.. You say I cant accept opinions? Please take a look at your response below.. Your actually telling me, what is an exaggeration on my behalf and many other posters, who have actually seen him play!! I am simply arguing that calling him 'rubbish' is a slight exaggeration on your part... Moving on then.. I try to be objective with most things as you can see with how I have critiqued the player in question. You have never seem him play, how can you critique him? I have seen him many times and I think the guy is rubbish (remember you asked us and didn't like the response).. I have also stated, in my posts many times, that this is my opinion (i.e. IMO), as have at least 6-7 others posters!! again moving on.. I asked the question, what are Holman's strengths and weaknesses and I got he is crap, rubbish, etc. At a push you stated that he had "some pace", not the most descriptive analysis of player that I have seen on here, would you not agree? Not really, as Stoic gave an ample summary on the player, but you seemed to have missed this or ignored it all together.. (see below) He's vaguely capable if you give him acres of space, but he has no close control and can't shoot to save his life. I could go on, as there have been many flaws in your so called 'objectivity', but I shall leave it there, as this is going way off topic. At the end of the day, I think you will find, it is you, that is having a hard time accepting other peoples opinions on this board. Note, you did a similar exercise I noticed, with Den a few days ago.. and as I said previously - you like to argue and methinks, you need to grow up a wee bit, as you're not being 'objective', you're being 'obtuse'. I am not too sure why I keep this debate up with you, as Holman will not be at Rovers.. Btw - What the hell is 'theorirically'?.. do you mean the 'theoretically'? If so, lets not go into theory, eh?
donis1410 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 now voronin has gone to hertha does that mean mr owen to anfield?
rovgers Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I've a bad feeling that we won't be signing a 'big' name player, or anybody today. IMO if we were going to sign a biggie it would have been done yesterday to try and lift the fans after saturdays result. saying that it won't stop me checking back every half an hour just in case
modes98 Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 Contrary to what most people seem to believe on here, he not only has pace, but can actually put in fine crosses. I've highlighted the key bit there. So the people that are wrong are not only the Liverpool fans (Cally excluded, who thinks he amazing and that's why he wants to sell him so much), the Birmingham fans, the people who watch him on tv most games but those evil opta stats people who had his crosses as one of the least accurate in the league. Instead of a 25 year old, who has had plenty of chances and thrown them away, why not go for a younger player like Larsson or Knightly, who have not been given a run at the big time yet.
67splitscreen Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 What is going on SSN say Berbs is at Manure training ground, & Real to bid 45 mill euro for him. Also just wondering will GMT be used throughout Europe for the deadline. or local time.
DeadlyDirk Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 now voronin has gone to hertha does that mean mr owen to anfield? Wouldn't susprise me, especially since Newcastle have just singed a striker and because Liverpool struggled for a goal threat against Villa. No talk of Blackburn on SSN, they have bigger fish to fry
Paulo Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Wouldn't susprise me, especially since Newcastle have just singed a striker and because Liverpool struggled for a goal threat against Villa. No talk of Blackburn on SSN, they have bigger fish to fry Dont start that depressing media bias rubbish. We as a club keep everything hush hush for a reason, if SSN knew who we was getting they talk about it
hollowsr Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I'm holding onto a very poor hope that the reason the official website hasn't announced the Bunn deal is because they want to put the story in a main story or because they can't get hold of Ince or Williams to make a comment on it becuase they're too busy signing a right winger. Is this bad?
Cally Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 So the people that are wrong are not only the Liverpool fans (Cally excluded, who thinks he amazing and that's why he wants to sell him so much)
Esulx Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 So Bunn deal is complete is it??? EDIT: Just as I pressed add, I got the official text. 4-year deal for the 23-year old.
imy9 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 You say I cant accept opinions? Take a look at your response below.. Your actually telling me, what is an exaggeration on my behalf and many other posters, who have actually seen him play!! RUBBISH is a slight exaggeration as he plays for Australia and is playing for a top club in Holland, you are not comparing his football skills to mine are you? Moving on then.. You have never seem him play, how can you critique him? I have seen him many times and I think the guy is rubbish.. I have also stated in my posts many times, that this is my opinion (i.e. IMO), as have at least 6-7 others posters!! I HAVE SEEN HIM PLAY ON YOU TUBE PLENTY OF TIMES, NOW LET ME GUESS HE IS DIFFERENT ON THERE? again moving on.. Not really, as Stoic gave an ample summary on the player, but you seemed to have missed this or ignored it all together.. (see below) "VAGUELY TALENTED" MEANING HE HAS SOME TALENT? AGREED OR DO YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THIS TOO? I could go on, as there have been many flaws in your so called 'objectivity', but I shall leave it there, as this is going way off topic. HAS THE GUY INSULTED YOUR FAMILY OR SOMETHING? WHY CAN YOU NOT ACCEPT THAT THERE IS OBVIOUSLY SOME TALENT THERE AND HE MAY BE A GOOD PLAYER, THATS ALL I AM SAYING BUT YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY ANGRY ABOUT THIS. IF YOU LOOK BACK AT THE POSTS YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS TRYING TO DISPROVE WHAT I AM SAYING- I AM MERELY GIVING MY OPINION (WEIRD THAT ON AN OPINION FORUM TOO) I am not too sure why I keep up, this debate with you, as Holman will not be at Rovers.. I find it interesting how you have made comments like: "Well, its better than your claim that he is as a great left footed, RIGHT midfielder!" When infact I have done no such thing to disprove everything I say. Oh by the way I think I answered your question about why Van Gaal wants a defender
BRFCBOY Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I'm holding onto a very poor hope that the reason the official website hasn't announced the Bunn deal is because they want to put the story in a main story or because they can't get hold of Ince or Williams to make a comment on it becuase they're too busy signing a right winger. hollowsr Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 So Bunn deal is complete is it??? EDIT: Just as I pressed add, I got the official text. 4-year deal for the 23-year old. That's not even funny lol its now up on the official website. Can i still hope?? No quote from Ince or Williams though!
BRFCBOY Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 That's not even funny lol its now up on the official website. Can i still hope?? can hope.................. might not happen though
67splitscreen Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Sure pace is a great attribute for any player, but not the be all, and end all. I seem to remember a couple of wingers, Wilcox and Ripley, all they where quick-ish, what they had was the ability to break quickly from our own half. and deliver the rite ball at the rite time to the strikers. I can;t remember the exact stats, but was it not something like 75% of the SAS's goal came from there play. So for me quality is more important than pace.
DeadlyDirk Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Dont start that depressing media bias rubbish. We as a club keep everything hush hush for a reason, if SSN knew who we was getting they talk about it I'm not, I'm not trying to claim they are being biased, I was being genuine, I think the Berbatov story is slightly more interesting to the general public than us signing a lower league goalkeeper. Just suggesting that we perhaps still haven't made up our minds, or we are keeping it very close to our chests, you'd think by this time in the day that players would have been spotted at Ewood.

Not necessarily. Deals don't always get done at the ground.
DeadlyDirk Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Spurs are moving for Heskey according to SSN now. Man City also bidding for Mario Gomez and David Villa!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!
Esulx Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Spurs are moving for Heskey according to SSN now. Seriously??? Do they need him to roll the pitch flat or something???
daveoftherovers Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 After checking this (Far too) regularly today, we get a mention at last and I start to rejoice and Oh, it's that, ah testicles! 1707: PREMIER LEAGUE DEAL Blackburn complete the signing of hugely promising young goalkeeper Mark Bunn from League One side Northampton Town. However, welcome to Rovers Bunn!
EwoodGlory Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 SSN say City have placed bids for Villa and Gomez, aswell as Berbatov
