Barton story is a stunt. Ignore.

I don't think Rovers will be signing anyone now.

Rovers won't let Ooijer go because they have no cover, so AZ won't deal on Holman.

I can't see Pennant changing his mind and there is no word of Espanyol selling Valdo...they just sold Riera, so they don't need the cash.

Barring late surprises. Nowt.

But what do I know?

You said Van Gaal is probably developing him and blew a 'large' chunk of his transfer budget to get him.. But then strangley LVG tries to get rid of him, within two months of his arrival and before he has actually played a competive game for AZ just down to a defender shortage? Gee, he must really value the guy, to do a swap straight away.

Who's angry? ...not me as I have seen Holman play.

Anyway, thank god for youtube, eh, otherwise you would seriously be without a clue.

Btw - You're actually Brett Holman aren't you, as your the only one who seems to defend him? ;)

1. Hang on, I said that he has described himself as an attacking midfield player, like Cahill. Nicko said that he is the right sided player that we are looking at based on Holman's recent performance Vs South Africa- we can assume that was on the right wing otherwise Rovers management have clearly lost the plot!

2. Another fallacy on your part, I did not compare him to Pires, Young etc, I merely made the point that there are right footed players playing on the left, I think YOU thought it did not exist.

3. I did not say Van Gaal is developing him, I said Van Gaal is good at developing talent which means that he is good at talent spotting (can you see a clear link with what you are doing with my quotes, maybe if you read the whole post without putting your own 'spin' on things you would not have to make up things up)

Thank god for Youtube and quality managers purchasing players for large sums of money because they would be classed as rubbish otherwise wouldnt they, hey? ;) I seem to recall a certain Chilean was signed after watching him on Youtube...

I just think it is laughable that a 24 year international player, playing in a good European league can be classed as "rubbish" but then comments like "vaguely talented" are used with gritted teeth to describe him, like I said maybe he has offended the Aussies.

It would be nice and greatly appreciated if, when you refer to things that I say, that you actually refer to what I have said rather than a distorted made up version by your good self, cheers.

With what he's had to spend he's spent well, but his philosophy is very restrictive.

I was simply pointing out that you're wrong about him "wasting nothing"...also if you're such a genius why don't you go and locate a board dedicated to your own football team :rolleyes:

(I would just like to point out that I have no want for a slagging match with anyone, but I'd rather not be attacked by a fan of another team on a Blackburn Rovers Messageboard <_< )

If we don't sign a right sided player, it will be Ince's (and the club's) first real failure.

Generally speaking the squad isn't that much weaker, but Bentley was the key to so much that was good about the Rovers last season, and more importantly, clubs in and around us seem to look a lot stronger than last season. It's difficult to judge, but I wonder if we're going to struggle this season.

About the Ooijer-Holman deal at a guess, though in my view I hope that deal has collapsed as it sounded like a stupid one.

Looks like we will either not sign anyone or make a move for a player or players that we haven't been linked to in the media before. Its not beyond the realms of possibility we might make a shock signing or two, however my money is on us bringing no one else in.

Discussing the targets and prices of them plus their availability.

Holman was favourite, but it's too hard to do without finding a replacement for Ooijer.

End of.

Pennant might come to his senses tonight, but at £5 million or so plus his wages, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I'm sure Paulo has some better info...

WITH REGARDS TO ROBINSON - ROVERS WOULD HAVE KNOWN HE WAS AVAILABLE AS IT PROBABLE CAME UP DURING BENTLEY TALKS. THEREFORE WHEN THE OFFER FOR BRAD CAME IN, ROVERS WANTED TO GET A REPLACEMENT FIRST
