T4E Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Have to say that Nadal Vs Querrey is about as exciting as its going to get for us tonight It is good though! Querrey trying to break back to 4-3 in the 4th, has had 6 BP's this game. Narrowly lost the 3rd on tie break so 2-1 down. Much more entertaining than SSN.

mattyboy6000 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Us or Pompey. Redknapp loves a criminal! I'd take Barton, once this court stuff and jail crap'sout the way, good player. is he heckerslike. he's a nasty piece of work, on and off the pitch, there's a clip of him showing how good a player he is all over the back of tugay's achilles, somewhere. dream on
EwoodGlory Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 nicko- joey Barton is at st James park, ssn say they have had a bid in from a top ten club- any ideas? He's been watching the reserves play against Sunderland at St James tonight. Probably popped in to see if he had any post from the FA.
nicko Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 nicko- Everton signing Fellaini for up to £15m True or not? A Stroke Boy scoop. Total tosh.
EwoodGlory Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Reports in Spain that City have struck a 40m euro deal with Madrid for Robinho, and Calderon will make an announcement later
nicko Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 nicko- joey Barton is at st James park, ssn say they have had a bid in from a top ten club- any ideas? It's a wind-up.
LDRover Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Ah well, just over 2 hours to go and still no right winger in to replace Bentley. Word is we may 'keep our powder dry' until the right deal comes along in January, even though generally when January comes along the word from Ewood is that other clubs don't want to let good players go midway through the season. Emo and Reidy bombing down the right until January, Santa Cruz must be licking his lips at the prospect, I know I'm not.
budha Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 There's some Spurs ITK-chatter that ManU actually has gotten permission to speak and the deal would be worth £32M.
RoverRich Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Alan Judge, 2 goals tonight, guess he is gonna be as close as we get to a new right winger
Hi Mack Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 A Stroke Boy scoop. Total tosh. Dont you ever talk about Strokey like that ever again Nicko!Hes in the know FFS Personal friends include Wenger Ferguson And Barack Obama! OH SSN big transfer brewing........... didnt we sign Andrews last week?
rovers1995 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I'd stick my neck on the line and say that robinho will become a city player. I really really hope not though.
Ossydave Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Well creativity hasn't really been our peoblem so far, the defence has. But on the other hand we haven't really had decent opposition. Depleted Everton side. Ropey Hull side. Out-of-form West Ham side. The Arsenal (who were superb the other day) game could give a better indication as to how much we're going to struggle
DeadlyDirk Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I'd stick my neck on the line and say that robinho will become a city player. I really really hope not though. It's on SSN now I still can't see it myself though, surely Chelsea have the cash and its just a case of whether or not Madrid will sell him or not. I think it's a case of Man City doing some publicity again, but who knows it certainly seems a strange day! Stroke boy thinks he has Kenyons number, another friend of his!
modes98 Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 I'd stick my neck on the line and say that robinho will become a city player. I really really hope not though. That's bold of you. I'll be back at midnight to check up on your neck Robinho isn't worth the hype. Him and Baptista were the next big thing, went to Real and haven't been anything majorly special. City would be more his level than Chelsea, but i would imagine that (alot like Berbatov) he has his eye on a bigger prize than Manchester City. They will end up with Aaron Mokoena for £20m!
roverich Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Well creativity hasn't really been our peoblem so far, the defence has. But on the other hand we haven't really had decent opposition. The Arsenal (who were superb the other day) game could give a better indication as to how much we're going to struggle I assume you are being sarcastic in needing to wait fr the Arsenal game? We were lucky to beat a "depleted Everton side", never looked like beating a "ropey Hull side" and got murdered by an "out-of-form West Ham side" but yes I'm sure we won't know that we might struggle until Arsenal beat us.
OJRovers Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Hope rovers do get a right winger and stay well clear of Barton I'm also liking watching big Sam on ss1 and hearing his the transfers and how it all works.
Cally Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Sad state of the affairs when the last day of the transfer window is more entertaining than the football these days. It's all gone a bit razmataz.
1878 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 A Stroke Boy scoop. Total tosh. It came from somebody reliable with EFC info on another forum in the last hour, I ignored the Stroke Boy story
BuckyRover Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I assume you are being sarcastic in needing to wait fr the Arsenal game? Yeah but Fulham got beat by a ropey Hull side but then went on to beat Arsenal who beat Newcastle 3-0 who had previously drawn with the Champions. So where are we going to finish?
duffbear Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Nicko, Setanta Sports News reporting we have offered Alvaro Recoba a contract, any truth in this?, if so what do you think the chances of this happening?
EwoodGlory Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 We should stick a £2m bid in for Ireland, probably not good enough for them now
roverich Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Yeah but Fulham got beat by a ropey Hull side but then went on the beat Arsenal who beat Newcastle 3-0 who had previously drawn with the Champions. So where are we going to finish? Surely you are making a similar point to me? Given our results, the Arsenal game will be no inidcation of the rest of our season. It's just silly to say defeat to Arsenal would mean we will struggle for the rest of the season. We might struggle, but not because we lose to Arsenal!
roverich Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Sad state of the affairs when the last day of the transfer window is more entertaining than the football these days. It's all gone a bit razmataz. Even sadder when you're spending it on another team's messageboard
