SURPRISE BONUS...There is an Israeli keeper coming in on trial later in the week which suggests the reserve vacancy is not filled...and MK Dons keeper Gueret is not a done deal yet.

Nicko, is the Lad the under 21 keeper and captain, in the Olympic team for Israel.

Plays against Belarus in a freindly tonight, then joining us for a trail.

Ohad Levita Hapoel (and his grandfather, Yair Levita, both kept goal for Kfar-Saba FC)

I knew when nicko wrote it that it meant benni wouldn't be leaving...not to sunderland or anyone!please tell me it has nothing to do with a huge bid for roque and we will cave in??????

The only way I can see a bid being accepted for him is if its United and it would still have to be 20M+. Given all that the club and RSC have said recently CL football is the draw that would sway his head, IMHO. Even then I hate to think what the reaction would be from players and fans alike.

Bobby, pal I don't think we need to worry too much over RSC departing this season.

Yeah that would be the typical kinda thing for us, I will take 5 million for Olic, bargain price in my opinion he looked proper tasty in da euro's and if his agent was spotted at rovers then its only a good thing. I think we need to SELL gally though, the guy needs a fresh chance as I just don't think he will do it at rovers especially with the talent we now have and seniority

Don't think anything will happen with Benni, he'll stay at Rovers and have another crap season and come out and say "the Sunderland link affected me".

Olic - Very Doubtful

Joaquin - I'd take him for £8/9 million, wouldn't go any higher. Nicko do you know if Joaquin wants a move or is he only doing what the Club tells him to do?

Oh and before i forget, im 99% sure the mystery Israel goalkeeper we have on trial is Ohad Levita...

He will be in by the end of the week.

It was in certain editions of the Daily Mirror this morning... ;)

According to today's LT, we are closing in on a deal for 4m rated Grella which could be completed before Saturday.................

Not knowing too much about him, that doesn't really excite me or annoy me one way or the other really.

After reading the Robbie link, I think he is rite to consider all options before signing.

Surely signing the contract on offer by Rovers, would be a backward step for him at this stage in his up and coming career :lol:

I would be concerned that this Pinto guy is owned/managed by Joorabchian. I have no idea if this is the case but if true would potentially lead to all sorts of funny business. Heard Joorabchian is working with us in some capacity (because we owe him one, I think) on the transfer front so perhaps that is the reason he has gone to London before speaking to you guys?

PINTO - Is NOT a Joorabchian player. One source tells me he is at West Ham as we speak but there is trouble over this. Rovers waiting and watching.

ANDREWS - Anyone still want to say I have been making this one up? Can think of one or two having Humble Pie [twice] for lunch right now. Custard Pie for afters... :lol:

MK Dons wanted £2 million, the Rovers offer is £800,000 in installments.

The player wants to move and 'threw one in' at the weekend.

Classic compromise would be £800,000 up front plus a few extras.

I think there has obviously been a compromise on this already within Rovers.

The manager always wanted him. He has to be backed.

so both grella and andrews could both be signed-or it is just one of them??

regarding this striker-if blackburn are interested surely he would prefer to come to us-with villaneuva here and all..

Can already see it - Sign Andrews, Grella and some young lad on loan - costing us £5m or so!

After the last few days where we were thinking Big name signings and showing real intent - Joaquin (£9m+), Olic (£5m), Grella (£4m). How depressing!!

Fowler was always on trial with a view to signing a short-term contract. No expense really.

Andrews was always a target and if a deal can be done cheaply then that is fair enough.

There could be a new reserve keeper. Little expense either.

That STILL leaves you bundles to get a couple of top players...a right winger and a top-line midfielder...maybe even an extra striker if required.

Granted I would be upset if they did not arrive, but these things take time and proper homework.

No need to panic yet.

Got plenty of cash to spend. i just get the impression that alot of these top players wouldnt really want to come to rovers and we dont have enough pulling power.
