Man City will be selling a player or two very shortly...

So the Corluka deal to Spurs will go thorugh? There's been reports that Johnson is now staying and signing a new deal. I guess it's not a boring time to be a city fan at the moment.. :lol:

There is an awful lot going on today...

Give me til later and I will make a bit more sense of it.

And there WILL be a striker at Rovers tomorrow. With other midfield targets moving too.

However do not draw any conclusions about players going, especially up front.

Either Man City are either unexplainably hoarding centre half's or they're surely gonna be selling Richards or Dunne.

Busy day for you then. By what you have said Re the striker I'm guessing it's either a loan deal or someone younger and not ready to challenge for a first team place, and that the Andrews deal is finalised. I look foward to 11 o'clock!

Will Michael Johnson go?

We played them on Sunday and I have to say, the guy looks really good. His a lot bigger than I thought as well so he is strong and technically good. I think he's as good as Barry.

Good signing if anyone got him....and before anyone says no that isn't me fishing for a Villa link, I just saw him on Sun and was impressed.

so thats zigic in on loan, andrews in, Grella in (maybe)??

Agreed, i hate that Man City are signings such a superb player... Damn it!

Nicko any idea how much money Kompany is setting back Man City?

Any idea of the number of players we will be bringing in for the first team (excluding Fowler which seems to have hit a snag?). You must have a better idea now? I hope... :lol:

Finally, do you think a big name will come in before the window closes? Ie, Joaquin etc..?

Also, just heard from a mate of mine that Brum might be showing solid interest in Robbie Fowler and a non, pay-as-you-play contract. Any truth in it?

Yeah...that's a huge shock. He'll probably be off to Chelsea or Barca in a year or two, he is excellent.

I'll be interested to see how Kompany does, was touted as a great star of the future a couple of years back not sure how much he has done since, have only seen him play a handful of times. No doubt he's class on Football Manager though.

I'd be a little surprised if it was Zigic at Blackburn tomorrow because there have already been numerous reports about us being interested so I would of thought nicko would have named him if that was the case.

Perhaps the striker West Ham were looking at?

I think he turned Chelsea down a couple of seasons ago. Sounds like he's got his head screwed on....or off depending on your views of his imminent move to City. Had horrendous injury problems in the past, though.

Possibly- stories suggesting Curbishley wouldn't play him in a specially arranged, behind closed doors, friendly. So much going on behind the scenes at West Ham it wouldn't surprise me if this Pinto guy ends up at Rovers after all.

Apparently his current form is none too special. Hamburg fans are certainly not complaining that he's left by all accounts.

That said we all know Sparky's record at signings - especially defenders who are struggling in the Bundesliga!

Van der Vaart as well, the bit I don't get is the prices so cheap, madness.

I like it, we've picked up some gems doing it this way and avoided some bad ones. I'm more than sure it goes on at other clubs Arygle have had over 20 so far this window.
