No offence, but you asked the same question 2 or 3 pages back. The question itself is stupid.

If your bidding for Roque is anything like your bidding for Warnock, if you really are interested (doubt it!), the bid will probably be about 4 million! :lol:

Newcastle won't pay the money for Roque either...

I wish people would either make a seriously big offer or just leave this cheap publicity alone.

Rovers fans do have a chip on their shoulders at times, but on this one I can understand why they are totally brassed off about teams looking for headlines linking themselves with a top player.

So Nicko. I'm going to word it slightly differently. Is the midfield target somebody new, or one of Grella and Joaquin..... B)

I will know more later. However I think decisions are being taken on a couple today.

Don't see him wanting to leave Blackburn for Newcastle.

I have to say it is refreshing to hear a fan of another club say that! I sometimes think it's just me seeing things through blue and white specs. But clearly others feel we are a better club than Newcastle. but I will respond in kind - I would question why any Villa player would leave to join Newcastle B)

I saw on the ever reliable tribal football website that we are looking at Hedwiges Maduro after he became available at Valencia. I'm guessing that the website I saw it on tells me all I need to know... :lol:

To be fair to Tribal Football, I think they just report things that have been written elsewhere, I don't think they make the stories.

Although, half of me is saying that because I want our interest in Maduro to be real. My gut instinct is that we've got people in Valencia watching Joaquin, but someone has put their presence and Maduro's availability together and come up with the wrong answer.

the thing I take from that, is that you focus on the football side of your club. So explain to me, why would Rovers, who exist simply to put a football team on the park [no dividends to pay, no expectations from investors], want to take your money?

Simple question for you. BTW, I don't think you're anywhere near challenging for a champs league spot, realistically do you?

We finished 6th last season nearly 5th and we have improved our squad greatly with a few more players on the way yet,Plus the likes of young and agbonlahor will improve,so yes i do think we will push liverpool for the 4th spot.All i was saying was that if o`neill deciedes he wants to pay that money for cruz he will be backed by lerner 100% no matter how much the fee is nothing more nothing less.For what its worth i think he will go for doyle,But this is a blackburn site and he plays for reading so that is irrelevant.

I will keep my mouth shut as much as possible on here,Good luck for the season.

Much as I would like Villa to challenge for fourth I dont think they will. You say the squad is improved greatly but I think the players brought in have been very ordinary. Certainly not made up any ground on Liverpool and maybe even slipped behind Spurs in my opinion. Hope I'm wrong though as most of the Villa fans I know are pretty tolerable unlike the Spurs fans.

Can we stick to Rovers related Nicko stuff please and no debate on Villa v Rovers, create a topic if you wish. I have tried to remove most of the off topic posts, sorry if some feel there post was valid but this topic is taken off topic so very easily!

Nicko, gonna go out on a limb and ask... despite all the chat about RSC, Benni and Warnock, and of course Incey saying "no-one is leaving"... are Rovers looking at shipping any out the door, either on loan or permanently?

Looks like Grella or Joaquin (doubtful but on the shortlist mentioned) and more than likely Andrews as the second midfielder..

Stiker must be Zigic or Pinto.. shame it does not sound like Olic but I doubt he would come on trial..

EDIT Or maybe Lopez as the other midfielder...
