Keith Andrews was at the Rovers game today...about to sign.

Humble pie has just gone in the oven for those needing helpings.

And so was the goalkeeper from Israel, who is expecting to sign, and before the deadline he will be joined by Andrews,Grella and Pennant...........................

Ick.. is all I can say to that.. Don't forget to add my personal favourites (who I hope proves me wrong) mr Pinto and Fowler :( Boy what an amazing array of players we are signing.. lol

EDIT I was really hoping that Emerton would do ok and we would not end up with any Panic buys.. but at this rate its looking like we may rush in for someone like Pennant.. I do hope not..

With Andrews signing, and Vogel injured (?) at the moment, we will have:

Dunn, Reid, Andrews, Mokoena, Vogel, Villanueva and Tugay in central midfield.

Who will be leaving?

Dunn - Injury Prone

Reid - Crap

Mokoena - Crap

Andrews - Cover

Vogel - Cover

Tugay - Past it

Don't think anybody will be leaving. We need more players in the centre midfield with more quality. Last thing we need is people leaving.

Man City are in talks with a very wealthy group about a partnership deal...Dubai International Capital.

It could be done next week.

I can't work out why, but they want to put millions in.

It will come down to how much Thaksin wants to give away.

A major turn-around.

Lucky City if this works out. I hear it could be done by Wednesday.

Great isn't it!!

Grass isn't meant to be greener on the other side!!

Why don't DIC come for Rovers?

Why would we want DIC at Rovers? I'm someone who fully supports the idea of selling the club, but selling to a group like DIC would be stupid. They've looked at a bunch of clubs, they just want a foot in the premiership. They may prevent the banks from knocking down the doors at the COMS, but they'll only delay some of the issues City have at the moment.

Great, Man City get a corrupt owner who has already illegally funded transfers with money he has obtained illegally. They get away with it, and then when the money has been put on hold, someone else comes wayding in with more money.

We have been for sale for ages now... It just isnt fair...

Im telling you, it isnt a fair football league anymore, its a Fantasy Football Team pre determined by the teams with the highest population and the biggest owners...

It's been that for five years.

And doesn't that make you proud to be a Rovers fan?

That we continue to do well year in year out with all the odds stacked against us.

It was alright when it was a couple of teams like Chelsea and Manu, it added to the spice with Arsenal at the top.

But now we have Liverpool, Aston Villa, Man City, Sunderland etc... It's getting very very predictable and boring... The football league might as well just hand out the trophies at the begining of the season, and just have the Cup's from the Semi's onwards with Spurs, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea...

Gets a bit boring though. Year in year out we're tipped for a relegation battle or a mid-table finish. We finish in a European spot, have a go at the media for a couple of months, and the season starts again and its the same old story.

We want to have a new challenge, a challenge to see where we would actually finish if we had some financial backing. We want the days of Uncle Jack back!

Crikey - it's a small world. Didn't Thaksin originally go for Liverpool?

Always thought DIC, being excellent businessmen, would play the long game with Liverpool and wait for the 2 mad Yanks/Benitez/Parry to implode even further then want to cut loose, become desperate sellers and hence sell the club even cheaper. By the same logic, City could therefore be more of a bargain I guess. Still, City being City, surely they'd find a way to mess it up royally even further iF DIC did take over.

Nicko, don't suppose you've got contacts with links to the Emir of Qatar have you? He'd be a good egg to take over at Ewood, reckon we'd get a few more on the gate then!
