philipl Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Nicko, do you know if we may cast our net a little wider, to say Brazil, Mexico etc there are some serious up-coming talents in their leagues. We picked up two Diegos from El Grande Maderaduro

Majiball Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 We picked up two Diegos from El Grande Maderaduro Ok your gonna have to explain that one to me. Curiously Phil I thought you'd once said you'd seen Rovers accounts how do you go about getting a copy?? Cheers Maji
philipl Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 We picked up two Davids from Great Harwood. Let me check my electronic filing as I am not in the office at the mo. Expect a PM sometime soon.
philipl Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Sorry not on the home pc. PM jan and ask nicely.
Baggio Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 GOOD NEWS - Newcastle have given up on trying for and pestering Warnock. They are in for another left back - but that will keep for the Sunday People. Herita Ilunga?
Fylde Coast Fan Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Slight concern... first Fergie says "expect a surprise in the next two days" and now he's in the stands watching our game. Is it too much to ask that he's checking on McCarthy?
Oklahoma Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I would prefer Ferguson took Mokoena, Roberts and Fowler (he can be sold after we sign him, right?)
thenodrog Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Looks like Mrs Nicko's cooking tea at home tonight.
DeadlyDirk Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Slight concern... first Fergie says "expect a surprise in the next two days" and now he's in the stands watching our game. Is it too much to ask that he's checking on McCarthy? Watching Yakubu.
dlukeg1 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Just watched the game live in US - Rovers started shaky, then dominated the rest of 1st half. The free kick that led to their goal was not justified and Robinson should have done better but it was a great free kick to equal Dunny's great goal, their 2nd was bad defending also they were queuing up to head it, Roque's goal was great ball from warnock and lescot just let it by. The winning goal was in 94min and was warnocks great ball in , nelson off the post and Andre follwed up and smashed it in from 2 yards - his first goal for us!!!! Ince was grinning like a cheshire cat - still not sure about him but he's won this one so WELL DONE INCEY!!! By the way it was a great game.
SergioPeter89 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Dont hope that Konchesky still is a target.. What a awful performance on that Fagan goal.
neophox Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Fergie was in the stands today because he thought that Simpson would play and he wanted to see him...bad miss... But then after the game Fergie and Ince will talk about Paul Scholes move to rovers. I agree with Konchesky...he's ######!
den Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Fergie was in the stands today because he thought that Simpson would play and he wanted to see him...bad miss... But then after the game Fergie and Ince will talk about Paul Scholes move to rovers. I would love to think both those things were true.
roverfanuk Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Don't want to worry anyone, but apparently Sir Alex was in the crowd watching Roque... Edit: Oops, someone else posted he was watching Simpson. But apparently Cruz might be the United target...
mark1875 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Great result rovers - well done Incey!! Watching the players today, i didn't see any sign of them being short of spirit or of any rift in the camp, which is what the papers wud want us believe and indeed many people on here chose to believe. once again NICE ONE INCEY!
Eddie Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 No one knows that. He was in the stands, that we know, as to the reason it will only be speculation.
mark1875 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 No one knows that. He was in the stands, that we know, as to the reason it will only be speculation. correct, and we have had enough speculation this week to last us a lifetime
mick Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 fergie was not there to watch rsc. any player that he is after has already been tapped and they are well down that road...berbatov is the man and it is a done deal. his comments are just a ruse. he was most likely there to watch two good teams that he needs to take points off and witness another of his protoges make his debut as a premier league manager. i'm sure that as much as many brfc fans hate mufc and saf from a footballing sense much could be gained from an amicable relationship with that canny scot...scholes, giggs, simpson.... let's hope that today's result gets fans focused on supporting their team and not publicly denouncing it.
mick Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 my apology for the poor spelling of 'protege'. it ranks right up their with the 'your' instead of 'you're'.
Nelsta Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Talkshyte are at it again, "Spurs should go for Santa Cruz or Yakubu..but Yakubu wouldnt leave Everton"
OscarRaven Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Fergie probably was there to have a look at RSC, but more likley thought it would be a good chance to refamilarise himself with one of the premier leagues new mangers and the style of play of his team. Don't think he had much chance to get down to many MK Dons games last season. Just scholes? Not Giggs as well, anything less just wont do! I bet he could sneak in Fowler and Andrews on the back of them!
Bobby G Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Nicko, how come no one has gone in for Arda Turan? He prefers to play on the right, and would be a quality addition to our side. Financially he shouldnt cost more than 7-8 million Euros either.
CrazyIvan Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Nicko, you got your results wrong How much did you lose?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Talkshyte are at it again, "Spurs should go for Santa Cruz or Yakubu..but Yakubu wouldnt leave Everton" All through the game mate...is sickening and maddening to listen to!
