Nicko, have you heard anything on those £6million bids for Per Ciljan Skjelbred, from Blackburn and Newcastle?

Not a word...too much money to be taken seriously.

Posted
Did he not sign a new contract earlier this month?

As we've seen on several occasions this year, that counts for nothing..

£6 mill. is waaay too much though IMO.

I see Rovers were at the Bordeaux v Nantes game................David Bellion is an INTERESTING target.......I am sure Ince has asked Fergie regarding him............The guy looks totally different from the player that was here during the United/Sunderland days...........he would be ideal for the right wing......

Obertan, Gourcuff or Gouffran of Bordeaux please. Few other good players, especially young ones, at that club.

So he's no longer totally and utterly @#/? then? No, that can't be it. Different hair cut?

This is a quote from the director of football in Rosenborg. He says: "I haven't heard about this. There are often agents that calls us, but so far there is nothing concrete. But if a bid in the size that has been mentioned comes up, we have to sit down and consider it."

Everton DID ask for SWP on loan...a few days ago...but at the moment it is not happening.

So he COULD be available. But it is very expensive.

I've not heard anything about a Rovers attempt, but it wouldn't surprise me if they had asked.

do you think that with your story being run in the mirror today on ONeill putting a deadline on an answer for James Milner - that Villa could turn their attentions and pip everyone to SWP, afterall it seems like they are one of the few sides who'd be willing to Fund the proposed £8-9M fee and pay him topline wages? afterall my Villa supporting mates tell me they are screaming out for a rightsided winger !!

No, I think that one is still moving one way...Milner to Villa.

Will there be an 11 o'clocker tonight Nicko?

Some Rovers news...and on the non-Rovers but still interesting theme...the Everton 'Ghanaian'...a bit about Riera too...and some SWP news that will shock.

There are so many inter-woven deals right now that it is worth a look.

Trying to make sense of these just now is hard.

Sorry guys! Just a big Milner fan, so whats the chances of him ending up at Villa?

Stronger than they were a few days ago...70-30.

lol I don't envy your job at the moment mate.. we have been building up to what hopefully will be on insane week...

given this pre-season the only news that will shock me now about swp is he wants to come to rovers lol

Will the rovers news be something new.. or more of that daft Andrews/Fowler lark..?

Nicko,

Just out of interest, have Rovers recieved any of the compensation yet from City?

Oh really,

Rovers refused to let Hughes talk to City until they had actually received the £4.5m cash in their bank.

JUST ON A GENERAL POINT...

I've got no problems mentioning possible moves ANYWHERE right now because Rovers are chasing players and some of the names mentioned have been linked as possible targets - even if wrongly - in some posts.

So it's OK to go into Milner or SWP stories right now because it is of Rovers as well as general interest...

So City had to pay £4.5mill just to talk to Hughes? Just I heard that Rovers had not been paid a penny yet and would like to confirm before I shut the person up in the pub tonight!

Nicko will the rovers news make us happy

I think that SWP is going to either liverpool or arsenal

My money is on Sunderland or Fulham.

They have both spent pathetically huge amounts of money on injury prone overated players... (Not saying SWP is) just can see them spending huge once again...
