Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 He said there "could be", I think. He's probably still out hiding in bins with a photographer watching Fat Frank and Capello sneak off into the Hilton arm in arm...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 He's a player for Thistle, I believe. I wonder if they won....
steverovers Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Started at Rovers but never played for the first team!
Doaksie Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 He's a player for Thistle, I believe. I wonder if they won.... Ex-Blackburn too if I'm not mistaken!! Oh, and to answer your question: 2-1 Hampden here we come?!?
nicko Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Ex-Blackburn too if I'm not mistaken!! Oh, and to answer your question: 2-1 Hampden here we come?!? Ex-Rover, now Thistle legend in the making. One team in Glasgow.
Veevs Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Wonder if the Axe will be off next.. teams showed an interest in pre-season.. then Ince bigs him up in a couple of articles.. then Ince signs his replacement.. My dream would be axe out for 1.5m and Abidol, Shirlie or annan in for the same ammount Well now its down to backup keeper (to pressure Robinson) and right sided midfielder.. another creative midfielder would be too much to ask but someone like Grella may mean we could play Carlos more central... although doubtful you just don't know as none of us have seen him play.
bringdunnback Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Nicko, what do you make of Rovers signing Grella and do you know the fee?
BRFC1995 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 our team is starting to pick itself now, still like to know where brett fits into the equation though as he's still a really good footballer.......if indeed he is not seen in the managers eyes as the first choice RM. Ooijer, samba, nelsen, warnock seem to be the preferred option at the back and now with grella becoming an obvious first choice alongside dunn who as vice captain seems a certain starter i'm becoming less convinced we are really after a new RM what with Emo on a good long contract unlikely to be a long term benchwarmer. As impressive as roberts has been, and as p1ss poor as McCarthys been..........I still think upfront might be inces priortity over RM because if santa gets injured our attack really lacks any real threat
Veevs Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I have a sneaking suspision Nicko might be a little tipsy..
The1mattjansen Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I would hope the Grella fee is no more than £2m. The guy moved from Parma to relative obscurity last summe on a free transfer, it would be hard pushed to justify a £3-4m outlay!
nicko Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Here's the news...although you know most of it already. Grella done. A wee bit expensive, but decent enough pedigree. Andrews missing again for MK Dons. If he is not signing why is he not signing? Right winger. Could be one of several. Pennant is he decides to play football for a living. Ireland ditto. Israeli keeper gone, others being checked at home and abroad. Pinto is still here and that decision will be at the end of the week.
JohnS Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Did anyone see Milner today, he was bloody ace. Come on Rovers get a bid in.
nicko Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 MILNER - Was with a Newcastle official tonight...they have NO players...so they might sell him if they can spend it. BERBATOV - Could still be messy. If they get the other Russian that is a good replacement. EVERTON - Trying to sign the Guinea defender.
bedlum Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 With the signing of Grella the fella, why if we are led to believe does Mr Ince want to sign Andrews aswell. Just can't see how he fits in. I personally remember a certain other Aussie playing two great games at home against top four sides in the "DM" postion.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Er...Ireland? For Centre Mid, I suppose and not on the wing? Strange one that.
nicko Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Er...Ireland? For Centre Mid, I suppose and not on the wing? Strange one that. Ireland can play right wing. The more I think about it the better I see him as a Bentley replacement.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Really? I thought he was left footed for some reason. But I agree, he is a decent player. Complete nutter, but good player.
Mr Creosote Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Really? I thought he was left footed for some reason. But I agree, he is a decent player. Complete nutter, but good player. The next Joey Barton?
Ricky Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 And if you came on here more often you'd know that the the Moderating team are responsible for moderating this thread and we have stated that its BRFC only.
Oklahoma Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Nicko, italian site Calciomercato report that Birmingam made a bif for Bolton's Al-Habsi. Any truth in this? http://www.calciomercato.com/index.php?c=24&a=93128
