Talent-wise - Plays on the right, crosses well, but tends to drift in frequently. Has a thundering right foot, but does not 'hug the line' as a true winger. Has always had a very good attitude towards game and comes with great experience. Can play centrally, but that's not what we really need here at the moment

Price-wise - Palermo had a very poor season last year and Brescaino said himself, it was 'one of the worst seasons (personally) in his whole career'. So the price maybe too high, based on current form

IMO, if we could get him cheaper than the (realistic) figures being quoted at the moment, it might be worth the risk. Mind you, Palermo are known for playing 'silly buggers' in the transfer window.

EDIT: Lastly, Jim would also throw his toys out of his pram, if we signed another aussie. ;)

Isn't Bresciano very slow as well? I'm hoping for someone with pace to offer something different to what we have.

You wouldn't say his quick/pacy.. not like a Lennon type (not that I am advocating Lennon).

One thing that I failed to mention (and for me, this seperates Bresciano from Emerton) is Marco has an VERY good eye for goal and decent from set pieces.. for both club and country.

On Olsson

I thought he was injured, and therefore currently not providing cover for anyone at all?

He already has about 4 or 5 pages back. Its a load of tosh apparently. Dont think he is that good either.Lets face it, stoke are after him. We should be setting our sights a bit higher.

Nicko SWP agent has said that he doesn't want to go to city due to off field problems and he is happy in london. However, he has also said that they are looking into all options. Could one of those options be blackburn, i though i heard that ince and ian wright are good friends.

Yet another example of hypocrisy in football; see what they mean when they say never trust lawyers. All his bluster about Barry & they're no better, unsettling players. Kinda like Spurs moaning about principles and doing things right, then wanting hush money.

Thanks fella, I did look and genuinely missed it, laughable thing is that I only had my eyes tested this AM (I want a refund!)

Those quotes are bogus...Man City and Everton still sniffing...I'm not sure City have the money yet.

This left back stuff is interesting, though I still would prefer a right winger.

Either that or he is implying that we are not going to spend a fraction of what we got from selling Bentley.

My money is on Fowler and Andrews signing and that being it.

It would be a huge mistake not bringing in a RM, but i could see it happening...

As it stands you have made a profit in this window.

Bentley [less sell-on], Friedel...£10 million-plus in sales.

Robinson, Villanueva [loan fee], Simpson [wages], Grella...£8 million-ish in purchases.

Sounds like 'in the black' to me.
