I don't think that is the plan, but it could turn out to be the reaility by September 2...you could well be in profit unless you bring in a couple more.

Well I will be amazed if we are not up one right winger come the 2nd who will cost a bit.

On top of that I think we could well get an attacker more in the shape of Ireland than Andrews, and possibly that Pinto fellow.

That would be an outstanding window imo.

Indeed a few players are looking surplus, or at least available, at the moment: Mokoena, Reid, McCarthy. I wonder if anyone fancies a bid? All three would be useful players for lower half teams.

The thing thats getting up my nose right now, is Mathias said several weeks ago that a replacement for Bentley and the RM position would be as good as Bentley.

Emerton is not as good as Bentley and neither is Reid, so either the guy has come out with a completely baseless comment or we are being led up the garden path? You cant get a clubs fans up like that and just skip it altogether.

I like the job Incey has done so fair, but i think he needs to celotape Mathias's mouth shut if what he says isnt going to happen...

Yet another example of hypocrisy in football; see what they mean when they say never trust lawyers. All his bluster about Barry & they're no better, unsettling players. Kinda like Spurs moaning about principles and doing things right, then wanting hush money.

The difference is Martin O'Neill hasn't been blabbing about Milner to the press. He was asked directly about him and wouldn't say anything. It's also interesting that the transfer request was made last Wednesday and NUFC made it public against the PFA's wishes. Seems like Milner was just looking for a new contract.

Don't get ahead of yourself. Five days left, three targets identified: Ireland, Pennant and Joaquin. Probabaly others out there too. We are looking for the right deal.

Can't see Derbs going, especially not this season. One of the most natural finishers I’ve seen for some time, looks dangerous on the pitch when he comes on and I believe if Ince played him in the right position for a run of games he would prove his qualities to those ‘sceptical’ fans.

If we are to part with a striker it should be the lardarse that is Benni McCarthy.

Please let me add? Your considering selling Matt Derbyshire when we still have Paul Gallagher?!

Lets not forget that Derbs has been played out of position in his games under Ince and that if he has to go out, surely the best option is a loan?

Lot of people seem to be hitting the panic button, thinking no one else will be coming in. I am sure we are currently trying very hard to get a couple more in (as Ince said himself).

The clock is ticking but there is still time.

Generally, looking at most other Premiership clubs, they are saying that they hope to bring in players before the end of the window.

Yep, plus I think he should have been brought on instead of Benni against Hull, because its those kind of games, against weaker teams, that Matt knicks a goal and gets us three points.

No no you're right.

We could never use £5m to find somebody else to come on and run around perilessly for 20 minutes every other Saturday.

Derbyshire will never make the grade at this level, so we should sell while he has the value of youth. An opportunity we missed with wee Gallagher.
