S15 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Best way would be to not have any at all. I just don't see what he has to offer. Can't you read boy??!! The man brings us pie!!
sparkspakespoke Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 No no you're right. We could never use £5m to find somebody else to come on and run around perilessly for 20 minutes every other Saturday. Derbyshire will never make the grade at this level, so we should sell while he has the value of youth. An opportunity we missed with wee Gallagher. I agree. Would have been nice if Derbyshire could have made the grade with us, local lad etc but he isnt good enough and I think people want him to succeed so much they let it cloud their judgement. Better to cash in now while he still has a bit of a reputation as a young upcoming player.
neophox Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Heard a rumour that a turkish side was interested in Benni...maybe a done deal? Nicko?
modes98 Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Galatasaray were interested about 2 weeks back but had an offer rejected. Sunderland are the main interest but have just signed Cisse and Healy.
bringdunnback Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Vogel has had a few injury problems since pre-season, as for Benni, I don't know what that's about.
brfc_jonesy Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 hopefully that means benni is going to do one, miserable sod
novella Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Is it really a good idea to lose mccarthy this late in the transfer window?
sparkspakespoke Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Is it really a good idea to lose mccarthy this late in the transfer window? If he goes he HAS to be replaced. Providing this happens then not the end of the world at all.
roverfanuk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Segundo Castillo absent for Red Star today in the Champions League. Heard yesterday he was talking to 2 teams in the Premier League thought to be Stoke and Wigan. Did Nicko say their would be a 11o'clocker tonight?

RibbleValleyRover Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Talk****, in particular Stan Collymore and Danny Kelly have been slating us for offering a 'pathetic and disrespectful' pay as you play deal to a legend of the game i.e. Fowler.
brfc_jonesy Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 haha, how can anyone take stan collymore serioulsy? that bloke aint got a danny!
nicko Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Everton signing Segundo Castillo...that should be interesting.
roverfanuk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Everton signing Segundo Castillo...that should be interesting. Gimme Carlos any day!!
park Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Reading some people on here I cant believe they think Matt Derbyshire will not make it in the Prem. Absolutely ridiculous, he is our 3rd best striker (behing Rock and JR). Would rather have a young lad who tries than a lazy unsettled Mr McCarthy!! Oh look....Derbyshire has scored
T4E Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Everton signing Segundo Castillo...that should be interesting. Very much so. Sounds like they're beyond desperate (not a reflection on Castillo as such, just he's been there for the taking all Summer). Not even a trial? Thought you were taking in a game tonight?

I think he has been harshly treated espcially with the likes of Fowler being offered contracts. Super carlos

Should use him more frequently than the ageing McCarthy. The like of Gallagher, Mokoena, Vogel, and Rigters should be got rid of first (especially if Andrews signsis) Is there an 11 o Clocker tonight Nicko???

Oh look....Derbyshire has scored Against third rate oposition. I wont argue with that Benni should go before Derbs buts due to attitude alone. Benni IS a much better player, when he can be arsed. If an offer of 4 million comes in for derbs then I'd sell as he is not and wont ever be premiership class.
nicko Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Very much so. Sounds like they're beyond desperate (not a reflection on Castillo as such, just he's been there for the taking all Summer). Not even a trial? Thought you were taking in a game tonight? At Liverpool, but the phone still rings. I would take a look at some of these Standard Liege kids. Quality.
EwoodGlory Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Galatasaray were interested about 2 weeks back but had an offer rejected. Sunderland are the main interest but have just signed Cisse and Healy. Galatasaray out of the champions league now, maybe we could offer £5m plus Benni for Arda Turan
1878 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Your man Castillo has signed for Everton edit- bit slow with that one, I see
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 At Liverpool, but the phone still rings. I would take a look at some of these Standard Liege kids. Quality. Indeed, pass their No 6's details on to Ince please Alan.
brfcshabba Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Don't know if it is earlier in this thread and frankly I cannot be bothered wading through the posts Rovers agree fee with MK Dons for Andrews say SSN 5 minutes ago but yet to agree personal terms, which coincides with Nickos news before
