Doesn't Grella still live in London? How's that work then? Surely extra travel won't help?

Why would Grella live in London?

The club he played for before us was in Italy.

It seems illogical for him to buy a house in London to play his Footie up here.

I'm not sure that's true. I seem to remember him being one of the Cheshire footballer set who has been the victim of of a string of recent high value burglaries.

No--he was involved in a burglary or an assault recently but I'm sure his home was in London.

Edit--sorry, cocked this up, his home is indeed in Cheshire. Daily Mirror describes his home as a "million pound mansion". Much deserved!

This has to be a new low even for Grella.

I struggle to see how you can get injured in the warm up. Sure some players go all out in the warm up, Craig Short being one I remember like that, but I cannot recall seeing that in Grella from the reserve games I've seen. It begs the question of how he actually managed it. if it weren't us or costing us so much it would be funny. A second question is how on earth has he not been officially confirmed as knacked/broken or whatever the medical terminology is?

I just hope he's fit for the World Cup and has a blinder so we can move him on and recoup as much as possible for him. I think he's a talented player when fit but he simply isn't match fit as much as he should be. We need to stop carrying these crocks for when they might actually be fit, a club with our finances simply can't keep doing it, in my opinion.

I haven't seen enough of him to make a comment on his ability, but by all accounts he's a good player. He simply can not stay fit and to get injured, again, in a warm up seems to suggest that there is something badly wrong with this guy. He would be one that I would possibly add to the list of players to let go off in the summer.

'let go off in the summer'... Let go where exactly?

Anyone know any news on his return, what is it with this guy is he ever fit?!! When he plays I am a fan, he gets stuck in and likes to try a creative forward pass (even if they dont always come off). But seriously 20 odd games in 2 seasons is a very poor return on a £4million fee plus something similar in his wages.

If he cant get fit I honestly think we should look to offload him for whatever we can get in summer and free up the wage bill. At least that way we can get someone new in. Our central midfield is desparate for an overhaul in summer, preferably 2 new first teamers for me (although god only knows where the cash comes from!)

You're joking surely, why was he playing anyway? That'll be it for the season from him.

No joke... Check 80 mins...

They are even doing breaking news on Grella now.

VINCE Grella has eased any further injury woes after suffering another scare during Blackburn Rovers' reserves goalless draw at Manchester City.

The Australian midfielder limped off after 80 minutes holding his knee and leaving Rovers' coaching staff concerned about the potential of another injury for Grella.

Soon after the match though, Grella has insisted it "was just a knock" after a clash of knees and he said he was "fine".

I was at the game tonight and he appeared to get tripped as he turned a citeh player.

Was hobbling badly as he walked off but seemed to be moving better as he headed down the tunnel.

I reckon he'll be okay.
