Majiball Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 He should hand some of his wages back out of pure shame. Like the American did at AC Milan, seriously he should think about it. If only footballers came with warranties. The part that makes me laugh is the way they talk about him having his plantaris muscle removed: "It has been hard for Vinny because he's picked up lots of niggly injuries, then this one is a big operation on his achilles where they've actually had to remove the plantaris. It's worded to generate sympathy for his plight, even though the plantaris muscle is a vestigial muscle.
Roversi Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 poor grella, always in the reserves for me on fifa and first to get transfer listed on football manager. safe to say, the most injury prone player in the last 10 years.
super_arran Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 He should hand some of his wages back out of pure shame. Would you? Because I wouldnt. It's not like he's purposely getting injured
broadsword Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Knew that would provoke a comment from you. He's obviously not been doing it on purpose, that's silly talk. But would I re-pay an amount of my wages? Yes, I think so. I'm not talking about handing everything back and living in sackcloth and ashes, but some sort of token gesture as admittance that his time here has been a crushing disappointment and marked by many, many absences, yes. It's not like he couldn't afford it. Obviously you'd be sitting pretty on a massive pile of cash you've barely earned. Good luck to you.
Majiball Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 12 months left at the end of this season I believe.
grinder Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Terminate his contract pay him off and get shut - he wasn't much good when fit - probably one of our worst buys ever.
Backroom DE. Posted March 31, 2011 Backroom Posted March 31, 2011 If only Galatasary had taken him he'll probably get offered a new contract in the summer.
davulsukur Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 We should just have him put down. Complete waste of space
Tim Southampton Rover Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I'd send him out to India to clean up the mess in the chicken factories. At least he'll start paying back some of his huge wages he's likely to be getting for doing naff all.
cesus Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 He surely must be embarrassed by the farce that has been his Blackburn Rovers career ... Then again he must have earned heaps so what ever floats your boat!
Hughesy Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Have we ever had a more injury prone/ waste of time signing??
ABBEY Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Have we ever had a more injury prone/ waste of time signing??...THOUGHT ANDREWS WAS YOUR PET HATE? ARE YOU NOT CELEBRATING AND PRAISING THE LORD ANOTHER ONE OUT?
danielwhite813 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Time to get rid. The physio must know him better than his family
rebelmswar Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 How in the name of all suffering hell did this walking accident pass a medical? And who did it and how much was the blind vastard paid?
Ferrit Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 He's completely useless when fit anyway. No loss whatsoever for him to be out for the rest of the season.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Have we ever had a more injury prone/ waste of time signing?? No , not even nearly.
Hughesy Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 ARE YOU NOT CELEBRATING AND PRAISING THE LORD ANOTHER ONE OUT? Why have you slipped a disc or something?!
Shabani Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 For some reason when i saw the story on BBC my first thought was 'i don't believe it!' I'm an idiot
koi Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Complete joke, if he had any dignity he's just call it a day and take a early pay-off.
47er Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 If only Galatasary had taken him he'll probably get offered a new contract in the summer. He's not a Kentaro client is he?
Inta Beaver Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Is he related to Jonathan Woodgate? Although Woodgate has got more talent in his left knee bandage than Grella has got full stop.
Blue n White Rover Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I'll probably get slated for this, but I personally feel, when fit (I know this isn't very often) Grella is one of our best midfielders. He breaks up play well, and his passing is also very good. Probably our best central midfielder when fit. You can never blame an indivdual for injuries, as you can't control your body. He has been unlucky, and if this is the end for him, then best of luck in the future. Just a shame we didn't get to see more of him.
