DeadlyDirk Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 OK this is driving me absolutely cracy now, absolutely ###### mad. Ever since I bought the game I haven't been able to get onto the FM Community forums. This never used to be a problem. I've reset my SEGA PASS login details about 10,000 times, yet every time I try to login it tells me I've got an invalid email / password combination, which I quite clearly haven't. This has been going on for months now. HOW THE BLOODY HELL DO I SORT IT?! Any help would be much appreciated! Just checking that you aren't being stupid like I was when they changed their system and that you are now entering your email address in the username field and not an actual username as was the case before. I assume you mean the public forms at sigames.com?

Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I've just had the best run of my life on FM09 in my first season with Rovers. Check out these results: 4-3 against Liverpool at Anfield 5-1 against Arsenal at Ewood 1-0 against Fulham at Ewood 4-1 against Man United at Old Trafford
Backroom DE. Posted January 13, 2009 Backroom Posted January 13, 2009 Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd, awesome... then a 1-0 over Fulham the realism of FM, love it
Cocker Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Does anyone else have FM Handheld 09? If so I have a question:- How do you loan longer than three months? I try and loan a player - any player and it will only let me take them for three months. I cant find anywhere how you get round this?
tcj_jones Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Just checking that you aren't being stupid like I was when they changed their system and that you are now entering your email address in the username field and not an actual username as was the case before. I assume you mean the public forms at sigames.com? Haha I know what you mean, but I have started entering my email address now instead of my actual username. In fact, I've tried entering both! I just don't get why this keeps happening. It basically means that I cannot access the FM community and all its tips etc.
Backroom DE. Posted January 13, 2009 Backroom Posted January 13, 2009 Can't you register under a new e mail?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd, awesome... then a 1-0 over Fulham the realism of FM, love it I then lost to Chelsea, Man City and drew with WBA and Boro.... Maybe it was the manager of the month curse!
Cocker Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Arraaaggghhhhh. Starting to see lots of little bugs in the handheld version:- Loans - as said above it doesn't want to let me loan past three months so its a but pointless. Transfers - I offer a club a more cash than someone else for a player they have on the transfer list. My bid is rejected because they consider him an important first team player and the other team that offered less get him The match - The match goes pitch side and shows nothing happening and then if flashes back to the text and I am a goal down. Injuries - like the main football manager game this is littered with injuries and there is nothing you can do about it. Love football manager in my hand - hate the buggs in it though.
Backroom DE. Posted January 14, 2009 Backroom Posted January 14, 2009 I've never had a handheld version of FM... just wouldn't feel right Finished 7th last season after a fairly dire run, though it's still not too bad of a position to have finished in. I've stopped watching highlights, thus most of the bugs in the game I can now ignore. I wanted some fresh changes so Out: Sergio Mota (6M) Tomas Sivok (4.9M) Billy Jones (3.2M) Ivica Olic (1M) Ibrahim Toraman (3M) In: Afonso Alves (Free) Dalibor Stevanovic (950k) Bruno Maraes (2.7M) Ryan Bertrand (3M) Emiliano Insua (2.7M) Lautaro Acosta (3M) (Finally bought him) We've started off on absolute fire this year, it's like the potential of the team is finally turning into current ability. 11 games gone, 8 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses. Have beaten Man City 3-0 at home, Liverpool 1-0 at home and held Arsenal 1-1 at the Emirates... no doubt this run will end soon but I'm enjoying it whilst I can Marquinhos and a regen called Rudy Cortese are tearing through defences this year... about time Marquinhos shows what he is capable of. Rovers squad of 2012/2013 lines up as: Paul Robinson (who is having a Godlike season thus far) Wayne Bridge David Wheater Razvan Rat (have now altered his natural position to DC) Ilsinho Jaime Gavilan Vincent Kompany Willians Santana Rudy Cortese Santa Cruz Marquinhos Defence is still my weakest area, with Rat and Bridge due for replacement sooner rather than later, and question marks over Wheater's ability (though for 2M he was a snip) but for now we're riding high
Cocker Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I've never had a handheld version of FM... just wouldn't feel right It feels right when you come across to see Rovers and you are on a boat for 4 hours with nothing to do.
awhom111 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 What a dream management team! This is what would happen to Burnley if they ever tried to get to the top flight! (Unfortunately one of their wins came when they hosted Blackburn (the other came against Bolton)) Fortunately, Coyle popping off about my title chances allowed me to completely slag him. The news item came us something like: Holiday$ says that Owen Coyle is a great magician. Watch him make Burnley disappear from the Premier League. The media can be quality in this game.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 That management team looked good until I saw Winterburn. And Mathias. And Knox.
Ste B Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 With Robbie Keane joining Defoe and Chimbonda Back at Spurs,It Means Football Manager 2008 is more up to date than Football Manager 2009!
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 New patch should be out within the next couple of weeks, transfer update as well i assume. I'll start a new game with the new patch as i'm finding it pretty unplayable as it currently is.
benhben Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Managing QPR. Got promoted 1st season into prem, finished 14th in 1st season now lying around 12th position. Had a decent transfer fund of £30m at the start of the season. Only have 2 centre backs in my squad though and injuries are killing me. Stephen Worgu has been banging them in though.
brfcshabba Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 I am Fleetwood Town in a new game. Managed to get Rovers as a parent club. Doran arrived on loan and hit 32 goals to lead us to promotion. Overall 10 rovers players arrived throughout the season.
BiggusLaddus Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 New patch should be out within the next couple of weeks, transfer update as well i assume. I'll start a new game with the new patch as i'm finding it pretty unplayable as it currently is. I was sort of happy with the last patch until half my coaching staff disappeared in the summer. The game seems pretty good now, but the not giving you reminders about non-players contracts expiring was the last straw, and I've not played it since then (about a month).
Tim Southampton Rover Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I don't have a problem with the current patch at all. Infact it's been pretty spot on since the latest patch came out.
ABBEY Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 just started and it wont let me past 15 july??? help?
BiggusLaddus Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 just started and it wont let me past 15 july??? help? Is it your 1st pre-season friendly? Crashing on that has been a problem for a lot of people.
LeChuck Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 just started and it wont let me past 15 july??? help? It's to do with the graphics card I think. Some people seem to have fixed it by going in to Preferences > Display and changing to 'Windowed' instead of having it full screen. Others updated their graphics card driver and that sorted it. Make sure you've got the latest patch (9.2.0) as well, link here: http://rapidshare.de/files/41170669/FM2009...h_Installer.exe They're bringing out a new one (9.3.0) at the end of this month which will include all January's transfers.

RibbleValleyRover Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 New patch out: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=106355 You can continue your current game or start a new one if you want updated transfers. Though one of the dev's on the forums recommends you start a new game. Also you may have to change your tactics as the match engine has been revamped. Downloading now, going to check the Rovers budget...
