RevidgeBlue Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Oh look, ManUre, Liverpool and Arsenal pulled home draws, what a surprise! As for us I think that's a fairly good draw, you can never ask much more than to be at home and decent opposition will concentrate our minds. Should be a cracking tie and one less Prem side to worry about in the later stages.
rover6 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Ince won't be able to play a weakened side because Moyes certainly won't put out his second string. Although, I guess one or two changes will be considered.

roverthemoon Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 Is the tie played before or after Standard Liege dump Everton out of the UEFA Cup? Everton play Standard Liege (1st leg) on Thursday 18th , Hull on Sunday 21st then Rovers on Wednesday 24th. Rovers are at home to Fulham on the 20th.

Although, I guess one or two changes will be considered. To be fair, moyes doesnt really have a squad big enough to contain a second string at the moment
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Burnley getting Fulham at home is probably the best draw we could have wished on them: - They have a good chance of losing - Fulham will bring no fans = no money - It's at home - guaranteed tiny crowd
