BuckyRover Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Probably worth noting in this thread the progress of one one of the touted candidates for the job. Ten Cate has turned Panathanaikos into one of the most borings team in the Greek League. They didnt manage a shot on goal (other than the penalty) against Anorthosis during the week. He is keeping exciting young players out of the team (Ninis, christodopoulos, mellissis) and is hardly charming towards the media. Let it be known that i am not racist towards anyone of Surinamese decent. That will be music to thenodrog's ears. He is a fan of that particular brand of football

thenodrog Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 First rule of football bucky is to score more goals than the opposition, second rule stop the opposition scoring and that makes the rest becomes much easier. I think its there for all to see that Paul Ince has been forced into a re-think after stupidly playing Arsenal at their own game and is now currently following my principles. You are allowed to call it Drog's Law' if you like.

T4E Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 He's just been on SSN - I only counted 1 "You know". Very impressive

BRFC95 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Do you kick the ball ahead or what? Only out of the rough
almuncle Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 He's just been on SSN - I only counted 1 "You know". Very impressive How did he compare to Joe on the naughty , naughty word score?
Hughesy Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 What did Ince have to say in his press conference?
den Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 What did Ince have to say in his press conference? Link.
T4E Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 What did Ince have to say in his press conference? Nothing at all interesting. He did seem a lot more composed in front of the camers though. Edit: I take it back. Just seen him talking about Kinnear, squirming about in his seat throwing the "you know's" about like confetti. Oh well, still an improvement.
LeChuck Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 He's just been on SSN - I only counted 1 "You know". Very impressive That is impressive. Last week he 'you knowed' a 'you know', that was also impressive. I can't remember the context now, but it was "blah blah blah you know, you know, blah blah blah". Maybe he just uses them like a lot of people use 'um'.
John Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Ferguson on Ince: "Incey has just carried on from Mark Hughes in terms of running a very successful operation at Blackburn," said Ferguson. "Paul's always had something about him and I'm not surprised he's become a manager and is doing so well. He had a good apprenticeship at MK Dons and has learnt from his time there.
Blue n White Rover Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Does anyone know how Ince is getting on with his coaching Badges? If he does noy complete them within the 2 year timescale, then Rovers will not be allowed to play in Europe.
philipl Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Probably not a good time to post this given he's just been found guilty, but I always felt OJ Simpson and Paul Ince bore an uncanny resemblence to each other OJ Rovers Paul Simpson
iamarover Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Ince on BBC 1 in a few mins.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/f...cus/7651725.stm for full 10 minute interview. Roque is man of the moment and saved us from a potential catastrophe. Seems a lot more assured. Some dreary comments about lack of money as he stands resplendent in his £10m training ground but overall comes across well.
AggyBlue Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 SAF AKA RFA admits mistake RE PI! I'll get one of the kids to translate it for me Ozzie

philipl Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I had anticipated finally burying my concerns so far as Paul Ince is concerned having anticipated that he would have learnt his lesson after the utter humiliation that was the Arsenal game. But the Manc game simply highlighted what is wrong with Paul Ince for so many fans. If you watch the MoTD post-game interview you get no sense whatsoever that for the majority of Rovers fans, playing the Mancs is a game against the club and fans we utterly despise. We do not want a pre-match awestruck love-in from our chief coach towards RFW and we are simply not interested in Ince telling the world how good Man U are. But above all, we did not want a second match against a Big 4 side where the management and players simply rolled over and played dead. Ince simply didn't get it. And we can forget about winning the League Cup for although we might do very well at Sunderland (who showed how it is done when they played Arsenal yesterday), the Big 4 are all still there and we can be sure to be soft as putty when we inevitably come across one of them were we to get through at Sunderland. Ince was unbelievably rude about Rovers when he was at Inter. It is very clear from his recent comments that he sees the Rovers as just a very limited small town outfit which is just a step on his way.

A good win at Bolton should clear up any concerns you seem to currently have
brightonrover Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 So a defeat to the reigning Premiership and European champions now means that, despite beginning to show that we can now play entertaining football and pick up points while we're improving, Ince is a rubbish manager and shouldn't have been given the job.

Gunner seems to change his mind every time the wind alters direction. btw Certainly no change of opinion with me.
