They're not anti Ince, Tris. They're just people saying how they see things. It would be a waste of time simply reading about how things are going spiffingly well, with no room for alternative opinions.

Think you're wrong there. There are definitely a good number of anti-Ince posters who will not even see the good that is happening because they are all desperate to see the bad. Not all who criticise are anti-Ince i agree but a vociferous minority are and it's them the gripe is with. We know who they are, we know what they think so why bother repeating it ad nauseam?

Absolutely Den. By the same token, it's a waste of time simply reading the same crap that the world is about to end and Ince is a fool. There is hardly any room for alternative opinions, because of the volume of repeated criticism which is being generated from the same people who have generated it since July.

Which is why people are switching off and this thread looks the way it does.

Look around the readers comments in the LT Gumboots. Look on the official m/b. Look at the empty seats, pre match and with 15 mins to go in nearly all the home games this season.

It's not just confined to here, is it? They're not anti Ince, they're not happy.

Sorry to be dragging this down again, but in the main, you're wrong.

About what? that there are some on here who do not want Ince to succeed, who couldn't find a good word to say about him if you paid them and that they post constantly, whingeing? I'm not saying they are not entitled to their opinion. Of course they are. what I'm saying is we don't need to keep hearing it because we already know it.

That is becaue Den, 90% of Rovers fans are miserable, penniless moaning ____s who see the worst in every situation and don't want to support the team. To be honest I really go off football because of the other fans sometimes.

Well maybe. [Penniless :o]

That's not anti-Ince though, is it?

When you say "some", you really have to say who you're meaning, otherwise it's simply meaningless.

I suppose a lot of people put me into the moaning catageory. All I try to do, is give my thoughts after the games. We've been poor at most games I've seen, thus my comments come across as negative. So what do I do - not post?

Just seen Lancashire Telegraph billboard outside Sommerfields on the service station saying 'Ince hails Andrews' are there other poeple out there conspiring against Ince or is the timing unfortunate.

The headline refers to a story last week when Ince was talking about the WBA match and was saying how wonderful Andrews was.

If you are to blame anyone right now, it has to be the chairman, he appointed Paul Ince and should of given him more money to spend on players in the summer to help improve the ever under performaning squad that Hughes left him.

 You're having a laugh!....... right?

can anyone confirm or deny what was "alleged " on radio rovers.A lady rang in and said mr ince has sacked the kids from coming out with the players before the game because its their fault we keep losing.

I will make a prediction if we go a goal down v sunderland the natives WILL be restless.Cant believe people arnt concerned we are 1 point off the bottom 3.........WE ARE IN A FIGHT PEOPLE WAKY WAKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she sounded quite upset about it hughsey ,i nearly crashed into the roebuck when i heard it.If someone could ask Lee if he's heard anything.I aked if anyone could deny /verify the remarks . It sounded strange but we will know next week against the mackhems.

I'm surprised you (or maybe the caller) phrased it like that Abbey, because in a way (if this is true) I reckon the reason is self explanatory - in fact you've answered it yourself in a way.

Results at home haven't been outstanding, so the manager is within his rights to study every single factor which might make his players perform just that tiny bit better. Maybe he wants to send them out of the dressing room pre-match totally psyched up and ready to do battle, 100% focussed on their jobs on the pitch.

Not into a hand-holding exercise with a small child, however nice that might be. The tunnel is the players territory and it shouldn't be a shouting and swearing free zone in my opinion.

At the moment, I think the reason for the huddle on the pitch is to re-focus after all the preamble - I guess if Ince could cancel the ridiculous handshake line up he would do that as well.

For me this would be about sending out the players with the best preparation possible to perform well at Ewood. I would not want to see anyone spin it into yet another stick to beat Ince with, and I'd question the motives of anyone who did that.

(Not questioning your own motives Abbey - I saw + heard you start at least 4 chants yesterday, and for once they seemed to be catching on in N01 :) )

The injuries worry me more than anything else. I mentioned earlier on that we do seem to be picking up far too many injuries. We had a similar issue under Souness and I wonder if it's down to poor preparation and poor after match treatment. I seem to remember Hughes' bringing in the Ice baths, wonder if they're still being used.

We need to get to the bottom of the injury thing. I don't think its just a question of being unlucky. are the players as fit as they were under Hughes, that's the question.

Perhaps appointing a management team who had completing the coaching course would have helped. I am guessing but I assume that training techniques will be an integral part of the course.

give the guy a break FFS, Ince has been very unlucky with injurys since he has been at the club, once he gets some of his better players back i am sure the results will improve.

Finishing mid table this season will be a very good season for Rovers, which is were i think we will be come May.

Yeah...bloody Hughes not getting us into the Champions League once...

I heard the phone call as well Tris and it was phrased pretty much as Abbey says.

The allegation she made against Ince was that he wanted to change our "luck". Now whether that's true or not, I've no idea. Gerrald Jackson and Neill Ardley said they knew nothing at all about it.

You may moan but you do it specifically. In other words you say what you think is wrong and how you think we could put it right. I don't have a problem with that. You may be more critical than I would like to be but that's your right. I don't feel I know enough about football to seriously criticise the tactics or team selection of any manager. Men are more confident that they are right on that score than many middle- aged women like myself. But you must admit that there is a serious amount of moaning on here that is not specific and offers no solutions that we could use now.

Isn't it Neil Yardley not Ardley? I'll be quite glad if Ince has stopped the parade of kids. At least their parents won't now be climbing all over me trying to get photos of their kids as they walk past afterwards. I've long thought it was a bit much to do it every game. I know kids want to meet the players and I don't have a problem with it every now and again but not every match.

Several posters who used to contribute simply can't be bothered to read or post in these threads anymore.

How do you know that Tris? And how many is 'several'?

Only querying that cos on the reverse side of that coin I could suggest that the gate was down by several thousand v Chelsea against probable expectations. I know TV and the weather conspired together but even so the shine seems to have gone off BRFC for far too many and they aren't all regular readers of this board I'm sure.

It would be a pretty weak argument to have to resort to relying on the fickle, miserable, negative, weak part-time Rovers stopaways to justify another Ince dig, no?

It's a double edged sword gumboots. If you come out and say we should play a certain formation or play a certain player you can get accused of thinking you know more than the manager, ex England, Inter Milan, Man Utd player etc.

I don't think there's a problem with people quoting relevant stats such as the goal difference and poor scoring record without following up with solutions or reasons why. After all, is it not the manager who should solve that?

If we're playing well and scoring bucketloads we give credit to those in charge and the manager takes the plaudits. We don't analyse how that's the case and ask for more of the same, we just accept that he's doing his job well.

yes we contribute to the management/playing staffs highly inflated wages out of our very hard earned little wages - so it gives us season ticket holders/paying customers every right to be unhappy !

dont want too support the team ???? what planet are you on ???? - penniless ????????? we pay a serious wedge to watch the club please explain ?

Yippee!

Another thing to complain about about Ince.

Completely trivial and largely irrelevant but let's make a big thing out of it nevertheless.

Yes but that doesn't mean that I think kids are always wonderful - quite the opposite. I don't like kids in that starry eyed way that so many people seem to because I know what they are like. And it's really the parents I have the gripe with. I also don't like this modern idea that having walked out on a football pitch with a player somehow means you are their best friend. I've not met most of our players and don't particularly want to. They are football players I pay to watch not my best friends and that's the way I like it.

If you quote stats you are being specific and you're backing what you say with evidence although we all know what stats ar worth in most cases. they can tell you what you want to hear. Again it's not that kind of post i have the problem with.

Well Gordon, I know "several" (around 50) folk from this MB including your good self of course ... I know more people who choose to no longer post than the 20 or so people who constantly post against Ince from the 3000+ members. That might not prove anything. However...

As for the thousands who didn't show yesterday, I'm afraid that's total bollux.

20,670 yesterday in the monsoon, live on TV, Rovers being crap, Ince being a wally, etc, etc.

23,996 on 23.12.07 - welcome home the Christmas crowd and well done Rovers for the fantastic pricing, both ST and walk on.

19,398 on 27.08.06 - Chelsea the champions of England, Mark Hughes is the saintly manager of Rovers (who had finished 6th), not a hint of a credit crunch, lovely summer fixture ....

What the hell was that sub-20K crowd about ... vs "probable expectations"????!!!

Here's what I don't get about the Ince moaners. It seems that the likes of Hughsie, Crazyivan etc are getting more pleasure watching than are the anti's, who seem to need to convince them that they should be equally depressive. Why? By all means air your own views, but I don't see the point of trying to convince the optimists that things are crap.

At clubs like West Ham and the much derided Spurs, the fans are eternally optimistic and that sometimes helps the team. And I think they have more fun as a result
